A Long Weekend

Tuesday, September 8, 2015

Why is it that we always have such high hopes for long weekends?
Or is that just me?
However, this long weekend I was looking forward to a whole lotta nothing!

I have been making a very conscious effort to get on the treadmill each day since the beginning of the month.
So far only one day off :)
While this view isn't the prettiest, at least the treadmill is set up and I am able to use it!

On Friday morning I swung through one of my local Starbucks to use the PSL code I received.
They weren't supposed to have them on the menu until 9/8, so this was an early bird code.
But when I arrived they were already being offered.
YEH!
This was my way too excited to have a Pumpkin Spice Latte in my hand face :)

Later that evening we face timed with my dad and X loved getting to see the beach!

On Saturday, I ran a few errands and picked up some more Apple Hill donuts before my brother and sister-in-law came down to visit.
I took 2 pictures the entire time they were here. #bloggerfail
We just hung out, swam, and then headed out for some pizza.
Because of the timing of things, X didn't have a nap at all on Saturday.
He was tired, fussy, etc.
So on the way back home from dinner he just grabbed my SIL's hand and held it :)

He fell asleep pretty early that night and was out until the next morning.
Unfortunately, he woke up sick :(
Poor guy!
Coughing, sneezing, runny nose, etc.
I did my normal grocery shopping in the morning, but the rest of the day was just hanging out at home resting.

While making dinner on the grill this horrible, scary, yucky frog eyed me down.
EEK! I hate frogs!

As soon as that wonderful tri-tip was done, I pulled it off the grill and headed back inside where the frog couldn't get me.
I am seriously terrified of them!

On Monday Mic had some office work to do from home, so X and I decided to head out for a couple things and to get some fresh air.
Of course we couldn't go to the store without visiting the toy section!
He honestly told me he just wanted to look at everything!
Sick, but very well behaved, earned him some new trucks to bring home :)
He also helped me pick out a new polish for the Fall.
It is called You Goji.
It looks more purple in the photo, but it is definitely more of a deep berry/red shade.

We watched some of Ohio State beat up on VT before getting another round of breathing treatments and medicine.

We were then off to bed!
While there were a million things I would have liked to get done, I was happy with the very relaxed weekend we had instead :)

And fingers crossed, my little guy is past the worst of this yucky cold!

Happy Monday Tuesday Friends!
