Smile :)

Monday, October 15, 2018

Your smile is one of the first things people notice about you.
Smiling at someone can instantly transform some one's day.
And it is like yawning...super contagious! ;)

Keeping my smile looking its best is important to me!
I typically use one of the basic toothbrushes from the store, or whatever one my dentist gives me at my cleaning.
I never felt that my teeth didn't feel clean, but those electric toothbrushes that you see posters of in the dentist's office sure look intriguing.
You know what doesn't?
The price tag!
So I continued to use my basic toothbrush to get the job done.

Rewind to a couple of weeks ago, and I was approached by SmileBr!lliant to try out their new cariPRO Ultrasonic Electric Toothbrush.
I didn't hesitate to say YES!

My package arrived a few days later and I started using it that evening!
(You can see my unboxing in the highlights on my Instagram page)

In my kit was the toothbrush base, two brush heads, and the charging station.
Mine came fully charged, and I still haven't had to charge it since I received it!

First thoughts...it has a nice smooth finish, yet easy to hold.
The base has an On/Off button, as well as a button to scroll to the five different brush modes.
I normally brush my teeth pretty vigorously with a standard toothbrush, so after testing out all of the modes my favorite is the Whitening option.
At first I bumped the button and changed the modes while brushing my teeth :(
But it only took a few times of holding the brush to be comfortable with it, and now I have no issues.
My favorite part of the brush is the built in timer.
I normally brush my teeth for a good amount of time, but not sure I focus on each area the way I do with the cariPRO.
The built in timer allows you to clean 1 section (quarter of your mouth) for 30 seconds before moving onto the next.
It definitely takes the guess work out of it for you!

So what have I noticed after using the cariPRO Ultrasonic Electric Toothbrush for the past couple of weeks?
My teeth feel clean!
I mean, really clean!
Not that they felt super gross before, but they feel smooth and I don't feel any build up.
Another thing I noticed was my mouth feels good.
That sounds weird right?
Because I brush so hard with my regular toothbrush, my mouth sometimes feels like it has been attacked. lol!
But with the cariPRO I let the brush do the work.
And I am extremely impressed with the outcome!

The best part about the cariPRO Ultrasonic Electric Toothbrush is that the price tag is so reasonable, and the quality is outstanding!

So now it is your turn!
I want to know what type of toothbrush you use.
Have you ever tried an electric toothbrush?
If so, what brand and how did you feel about it?
Does the price tag of electric toothbrushes keep you from giving it a try?

I would like to put an end to your price tag fears and tell you to give a try!
I think you will love it just like me!
I already plan on getting one for Mic for Christmas!

So here is what I can do for you...

Peel away the layers

Influenster is at it again!
This time they set me a beauty box to review :)

So here is what was inside the box...

Perricone MD No:Rinse Exfoliating Peel

I cleansed my face before bed, and then applied the serum all over my face.

And that was it!

It is a super lightweight formula that you apply to your skin and leave it on overnight.
No harsh scents either which is a big deal to me.
I used my regular cleanser in the morning and was good to go!

My skin didn't feel tight or dry after the application or the next morning.
And I had a slight glow to my face :)

I am definitely going to keep using this product to see how my results are with continued use.

Thanks to Influenster for sending me this product from Perricone MD to review.
I received this product free from Influenster.
All opinions and photos are my own and property of X-tremely V.

Have you tried any of the products from Perricone MD?
I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Good Thins

Tuesday, August 28, 2018

I came home the other day to a box from Influenster with a sample of Good Thins chips.

What better time to give them a try than at work when I am dieing on the vine around 2pm?
So I tossed the box in my bag and headed to work.

The first thing you see when you open the box is a coupon for a future purchase.

Then it was onto the chips!
I am not going to lie, I was skeptical because I am not a sweet potato fan at all!

The sample bag was surprisingly a decent size.
So I pulled out a chip and decided to give it a try.

These are so yummy!
I can't believe it!
I have tried other sweet potato chips and immediately was done.
These were really good!
I would have never picked these out myself, but I will be using that coupon included for sure.

Here's the goods on these chips...
90 calories per pack
0g Saturated Fat
135mg Sodium
3g Total Sugars
No Artificial Colors
No Artificial Flavors
No Cholesterol
No partially Hydrogenated Oils
No High Fructose Corn Syrup

Have you tried any of the Good Thins Chips?
They come in a variety of styles and flavors.
They offer Potato, Rice, Chickpea & Oat.
Flavors include Sweet Potato, Garlic & Herb, and Sea Salt to name a few.

Thank you to Influenster for sending me this delicious sample!

TBB Talks: All About Skincare

Monday, March 12, 2018

Happy Monday!
I had every intention of having a post up and ready to go by 5am this morning, but life hit this weekend.
And when I say life, I mean X having a major case of food poisoning or a 24 hour flu bug!
It was bad folks :(
Thankfully, he improved over night so much that he went to school today!
Add in the time change and this girl is exhausted today.
Hence the delayed post.

But, I am posting so cheers to that!

Today I am linking up with TBB to talk about skincare.

I briefly mentioned last week that I decided to give some new products from No. 7 a try.
But before I get to that let me give you a few other details about how I take care of, or at least try to take care of my skin.

~one~
First things first....I always wash my make up off before I go to bed.
That makes a huge difference right there!
Honestly, I can count on one had the times I have slept in my make up in my entire life.
I can't even take a nap without washing it off.

~two~
Another thing I do is let my skin breathe.
On weekends I don't have an ounce of make up unless we are doing something.
And even then I wait until the last second to apply it.

~three~
This one might sound weird, but I am always wearing sunglasses!
Does that mean I don't have any lines?
NO WAY!
But, fingers crossed it helps me to prevent a few more from sprouting up before I am ready for them ;)

Now onto the products I use.

I have mentioned on here before that for the last couple of years I have been using Rodan and Fields products.
I would use the Soothe line in the morning and the Redefine line in the evenings before bed.
I also use the eye cream in the morning and in the evening.
I felt like they have really made a difference in the overall appearance of my skin.
Unfortunately, over the last few months my skin has been changing :(
I am not sure if that is a side effect of a fairly new medication or what.
But my skin is drier than normal and these products just weren't helping me control that.

Another blogger shared the No. 7 products recently so I decided to give them a try.
The price is reasonable, and I can pick up the products at my local Target or Walgreen's instead of having to order online and wait for them to arrive.
Here is what I picked up...

I knew without a doubt that I wanted to give the Total Renewal Exfoliator a try!
After the first wash my skin was SO soft and smooth!
It isn't something you want to use every day, but definitely something I would pick up and try out for yourself.

The Beautiful Skin cleanser was another one I knew I wanted before I got to the store.
It is a fairly mild cleaner in my opinion (I have sensitive skin), but was strong enough to remove all of my make up.
That makes it a winner right there!

I decided to get the Lift & Luminate Skin system as well as the eye cream.
This line seems to be the most comparable to the Redefine line from R&F.
The eye cream goes on nice and smooth,
the serum is very similar to the night time serum with R&F,
but the day and night cream are the game changers for me!
They are thicker in texture, but don't feel think once applied.
And boy oh boy do they hydrate my dry skin!
They even add a nice glow :)

I have officially been using the No. 7 products for a week and I might have found a replacement for R&F.
I'll report back soon if things continue to go well, or if I decide they aren't for me.

Have you tried No. 7 products before?
If so, which one do you use?

Happy Tuesday!
Before I get into my post for the day I have to wish the most amazing, beautiful, kind hearted woman in the world a Very Happy Birthday!
I truly hope you have the best day and year Mom!
I love you! ❤️❤️❤️

I received another Play by Sephora box last week and I couldn't wait to show you all the goodies inside!

Sephora Collection Ultra Shine Lip Gel in 04 Perfect Nude $12
A light-reflecting lip gloss in a nude shade for standout lips that look plump and shiny.

Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick in M500 $22
A high-pigment lipstick known for its legendary staying power in a striking deep wine shade for the ultimate impact.

First Aid Beauty Ginger & Turmeric Vitamin C Jelly Mask $32
A revitalizing jelly mask that's packed with ginger and turmeric to comfort and brighten stressed-out skin.

Peter Thomas Roth FIRMx Peeling Gel $48
An exfoliating gel powered by multiple fruit enzymes to reveal a glowy complexion.

BONUS: Tory Burch Love Relentlessly $30-$118
A sparkling fragrance of pink pepper, patchouli, and dewy rose that captures the first butterflies of love.

And here are the eyeliner, lipstick and gloss colors...

My First Thoughts
The eyeliner pencil is super easy to use.
It is a very vibrant shade of blue though, so not sure where I would wear it.
Biggest downside: I lightly marked my hand with it to see the actual color and the tip completely broke off :(

The Sephora lip gloss in nude is right up my alley!
I have worn it once already and it is the perfect neutral!

The rouge lipstick seems to be very good quality, but extremely dark for me :(
When I opened it I immediately thought of Sarah though :)

I haven't tried the peeling mask or the gel wash, but I will be adding them to my skincare routine later this week to tryout.

And finally the Tory Burch scent is probably fine for most.
Honestly, I didn't even smell it yet!
I just don't wear perfume, so it will go into my stash of giveaway items :)

Do you receive a Play by Sephora subscription?
If so, did you receive the same items?
What do you think of them?

Have any of you tried any of these products before?

Be Happy, It Drives People Crazy!

Linking up with Andrea, Narci & Erika for...

Over the weekend X and I ran a few errands and had to make a stop in my least favorite store, Walmart.
However, they bumped themselves up my list when X and I were able to pick up some of our very favorite ice cream!
It is Toft's Super Duper Scoop, but it will always be #superman to us!

I also picked up a new, super cheap blender while we were there.
Side note: I picked up an amazing Ninja blender about year before we moved to our current home.
I LOVE IT!
Unfortunately, ever since the move I can't find all the pieces to use it! :(
I do not believe they will be gone forever, but I really needed a blender.
So I grabbed a cheap one and immediately tested it out over the weekend by making my favorite summer cocktail :)
#strawberrydaiquiri
#idonthalfa$$itwhenitcomestococktails

After going gaga over my Nickel & Suede earrings I picked up a few weeks ago, I was on the hunt for some more super lightweight options.
I found Leafy Treetop Leather Co on Etsy and immediately fell in love!
I ordered the mini camo tear drop ones and the distressed brown leather rectangles.
I swear they were here like 2 days later!
And they even came with another pair of earrings because they are celebrating their birthday!
You all know I have a thing for all things camo!
These are easily my most favorite earring I have ever owned!

I picked up X from the babysitter the other day and he stated they were watching Chopped on the Food Network.
He came home and couldn't wait to make something.
Does anyone else freak out when their kid wants to "cook"?
The mess, the wasted food, the time, etc. UGH!
Thankfully, we had a few things we could throw together and TA DA...strawberry parfaits!
I loved seeing how proud my favorite little guy was of himself!

I linked up with Andrea for Show & Tell Tuesday and talked about some of my daily struggles.
One of those being my love for my favorite treat...

Also on Tuesday, it rained. A LOT!
We had flash flood and severe thunderstorm warnings from about 1-10pm!
I have never driven through so much standing water or flowing water!
This was our creek when X and I arrived home...

And this is how things looked about 10 minutes later...

Another 10 minutes and it was flowing across our driveway!
It was nuts!
Storms like this one are not my favorite!
Thankfully, there was no damage and we never lost power.
The rain stopped after awhile and all that water receded pretty quickly.

For Workin' It Wednesday, it was all about how to keep your kiddos entertained over the summer.
Simple, get a babysitter to handle it for you! lol!
Seriously, they are going to some of mine and X's favorite spots every week!

Another week, more Instagram Favorites :)

I have found myself listening to my Sirius radio on my phone a lot while I am at work.
This past week there have been quite a few throwback favorites getting me through the day :)

Localish ladies, don't forget to check out my giveaway yesterday for The Met summer series!

X has been attending Safety Town this week at his future elementary school and is loving it!
I mean, when you get to hang out with some of your favorite people - policemen and firemen - you know it is going to be a good week!
I decided to take off Thursday to get a few things done and hangout with him for a bit, so I surprised him by picking up some of his favorite blueberry donuts!

I wish you could smell the sweet sugary goodness through your screens because these truly are AMAZING!!!

When I was picking X up at the school they gave me this letter stating who his Kindergarten teacher will be!
EEK!
We are so stinkin' excited for the school year to start!
We opened it in the car because we just couldn't wait!
Unfortunately, it stated he was attending Kindergarten in the afternoon and that is incorrect so we don't know if he will have this teacher or not :(
Fingers crossed this mix up is settled soon so we can get ready for what we anticipate to be his most favorite year of school yet!

And on that note, I am calling it a week!
We have a t-ball game, birthday party, and graduation party all on Saturday, and then it is time to celebrate our favorite dads on Sunday!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and enjoy your Father's Day celebrations with the guys in your life!
