Happy Happy Friday!
Linking up with Andrea & Erika for Friday Favorites!

Lots of favorites to share from the last few weeks so let's dive right in!

I saw these next few photos/posts on social media and absolutely loved them!
They definitely deserved sharing again :)

Who is with me on that last one?
I swear this is all we did as kids after softball games and such!

Since I missed a few weeks of favorites I'm playing catch up ;)
I loved these super simple valentines we printed free from Pinterest!
I didn't have any cardstock handy, so I just glued them to some construction paper :)

And I found a tutorial for this box on Pinterest as well.
It was so easy!
I didn't have the correct colors, so we made it more our own style.
X loved it!

We have been going non-stop with soccer these days.
X is loving it though, so it makes our crazy schedule worth it!

Since it has been extra cold outside there have been so many people ice fishing on the reservoir.
This particular day you could hardly see, yet there were people out there in tents all over.
One guy was out there just sitting on a bucket!
It was seriously like 1 degree outside at the time!

X finally had his 9 year check up at the doctor this month (so weird that we had to wait so long for it),
and when we were coming out of the building the sky was absolutely stunning!
We both stopped to take it in :)

Anyone else completely stop what they are doing and snap a pic when their house is actually super clean?
No? 😂
Everything was put exactly where it belongs and things were freshly clean...it had to be documented!

I shared this on my What's Up Wednesday post, but we are loving having so many deer all over our property!

Also, this window in our master shower has been growing on me.
I fought this guy so hard, but after seeing the pretty snow out the window each day I have started to change my mind :)

Sometimes it crazy to think we finally live here again!

X finally got to take advantage of the hills on our property and all that snow!
He and Mic had fun sledding, throwing snowballs, etc. the other night.
He can't wait to go back out again!
My favorite part was catching his arm go up at the end of a successful run :)

I shared some of my favorite Amazon finds recently on Tuesday.
These pillow covers arrived and I love 2 out of 3 of them.
The quality is great on all of them, but the plaid ones need to be more white for me and our house.

My Polished Jar order arrived earlier this week and I am so in love!
I went with 16 oz. hand wash glass bottles in the signature collection in matte black with the matte black pump.
I did the same for our kitchen hand wash and dish soap, but up the size to 32 oz. each.
I snagged the dark gray cement tray too :)
They are beautiful and great quality!
I will definitely be ordering more items in the future!

Mic and I had a random light work day yesterday so we took the day off and headed to Amish country.
I snapped a quick mask selfie mainly because I tried a fun little braid hairstyle from Amber Massey.
Mine didn't look nearly as cute as her hair does (darn layers), but I still liked it :)

We saw so many things I loved!
If you know me...I love the Grinch!
This sign would be perfect in our home for the holidays!

Check out these wood pallet flags!
They had bullets in them for the stars 🤩

I didn't want to leave the Studio 4 Designs shop!
I think everything in the entire shop fit my style to a T!
Look at these tables 😍😍

Both are the perfect combination of metal and wood!

This wood and metal clock would be perfect in our kitchen!
We didn't pick it up this time, but definitely keeping it in mind!

I couldn't contain my laughter when I was reading all of these signs! 😂😂

And after seeing these dark gray stoneware dishes, I'm totally on the hunt for new dishes!
I can't decide between getting light gray or a matte black.
Decisions, decisions 😉

And check out this gorgeous tablescape!
How perfect would this be for Easter Sunday?!

After a day of collecting all kinds of ideas and such, we only came home with some new wall art for X's bedroom!

We also ordered some new counter stools for our kitchen and I can't wait for them to arrive next week!

That is all for this week!
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

What's Up February 2021

Wednesday, February 24, 2021

What's Up February!
Holy cow that month went fast!
Linking up with Sheaffer & Shay today to recap the month of February :)

What we're eating this week...
Monday - Broccoli & Parmesan Crusted Tilapia
Tuesday - Breakfast (Eggs, Sausage, Bacon, Potatoes)
Wednesday - Meatloaf
Thursday - Pork Chops & Veggies
Friday - Leftovers
Weekend - Out ;)

What I'm reminiscing about...
Honestly, last year at this time.
Things were so normal.
It was only a few short weeks later than everything started shutting down and the world as we knew it hasn't been the same since.

What I'm loving...
Reading through the Bible and listening to the daily podcast through The Bible Recap.

I am learning so much!
If you have always wanted to read through the Bible, this is a great way to do it.

What we've been up to...
Soccer, soccer and more soccer!
If we aren't going to soccer practice, we are going to soccer lessons or a soccer game.
But I still don't want to be called a soccer mom 😬

With all the snow it has been rather peaceful around our house.
We have had lots of visitors enjoying our property...and I love it!

Thankfully, X did have school around Valentine's Day and he was able to exchange valentines with his classmates.
I literally made this box last minute for him from a video I found on Pinterest.
Not too bad considering I didn't have any of the right colors :)

And it was finally warm enough, but snowy enough to head outside and have a little fun!
Love that little arm up at the end for a successful run! lol!

What I'm dreading...
Nothing at the moment :)

What I'm working on...
Finally picking out some décor pieces for the house.
I just shared some of the new pillow covers I ordered for sectional yesterday (along with my other prime finds).
Fingers crossed things look as good together as they do in my mind ;)
I am working towards a modern/rustic/industrial vibe with just a hint of farmhouse because I love black and white plaid :)

What I'm excited about...
Getting back on track with the blog.
I have so many things and ideas I want to share, just need to find the time to get it all typed out ;)
I would also love to hear what you would like to see more of on here.
Let me know in the comments below - fashion, home decor, mom life, etc.

What I'm watching/reading...
We finally finished Downton Abbey.
And I loved watching that show :)

I literally watched all 3 seasons of Cobra Kai while I was at home sick two weeks ago.
And now I'm anxiously awaiting for another season ;)

And I am staying caught up on all my normal shows - Blue Bloods, The Blacklist, Riverdale, This Is Us
And I started watching Walker and I'm loving it!
I watched the old Walker, Texas Ranger years ago and loved it as well.

What I'm listening to...
Anything and everything country, pop, 90's hip-hop/rap, and rock.

Still listening to the Jennie Allen podcast and truly loving it!
I am honestly getting so much from it!

What I'm wearing...
Still lots of layers because it is winter in Ohio ;)
Boots, jeans, and sweaters are on repeat over here.
I did manage to actually wear something business casual for work this week 😂

What I'm doing this weekend...
X's team has a bye this weekend so Mic and I are trying to plan a day date of some sort.
I'm thinking lunch and then furniture and home decor shopping ;)

What I'm looking forward to next month...
St. Patrick's Day - one of my favorite holidays!

And by the end of the month X has his first outdoor soccer game of the season!
Praying the snow starts melting before then 🙏

What else is new...
Nothing much!

XOXO ~ Vanessa

Prime Finds January & February 2021

Tuesday, February 23, 2021

Oh hey there!
Long time no talk/post.
Just when I had a good thing going I ended up sick and in bed for almost an entire week!
And then last week I spent my time trying to catch up at work, while being at home majority of the week for snow days and remote learning.
I felt bad for not being present on the blog, but it had to happen.

Let's move on....
Today I am sharing what I have been priming lately.
And don't forget to come back tomorrow for the February edition of What's Up Wednesday.

But really, let's move on to the Amazon goodies!

I had been looking for new slippers for months and after numerous pairs that just werehttp:// right for me, I finally found ones that ✔ off all the boxes for me.

These moccasin slippers from Jessica Simpson are super soft and have memory foam inside.
Added bonus...they are available in black 🖤
I typically wear a 7.5 shoe size and had to size up to the Large (8-8.5) for a better fit.

I grabbed some new lanyards for X to attach his mask to for school that have metal clasps.
He loves that he doesn't have to worry about his mask getting lost or the clasps breaking.
And they come right in at about $1 a piece.

I was in the mood for a lightweight sweater and I found this one that someone shared (I can't remember who 😔).
I ended up getting two of them I loved it so much!

I have the gray and navy, but it is available in 12 colors.
I recommend going up a size if you want it to be looser.

After Shay shared this next item, I immediately ordered one for myself!

I am loving the A-Wave-We-Go iron!
It is so much fun playing around to create beachy waves or have a more crimped look like I did back when I was a kid.
It really is super easy to use!

My previous Fitbit Versa finally died (after 2+ years) a few weeks ago and I knew I had to suck it up and get another one.
I seriously felt naked without my watch!
After some research and finding a good sale, I snagged the Versa 3 and I'm loving it!!!

It has all the things I need/want in a watch and more!
And I immediately snagged some extra bands to switch them in the future or if my band would break.
I learned my lesson when my band broke on my original Versa and there weren't many options that fit it because it was already a year old :(

I love the smooth athletic feel of these type of bands, and the group of colors are perfect for me.
They come in 10 different bundle (4 in a bundle) options for about $10.

And last but not least, I finally ordered some pillow covers and extra inserts for our new sectional.
If you only knew how hard it was for me to pick these out!
I seriously stress over everything!
Trying to find the right balance of modern/industrial/rustic without going down the farmhouse rabbit hole is SO HARD!
I love black and white plaid despite it being very farmhousey.
I ordered just 1 set of these covers to play off the plaid baskets and rugs I have in the house already.

I'm excited to see how these faux leather covers work with our sectional and colors throughout the house.
Fingers crossed they look good, so I can move forward in getting stools for our island in the same shade :)

I ordered the 18x18 inserts for those covers since the pillows on our couch now are 22x22.
This pack of 4 is only $23 right now.

I also grabbed these covers in the 22x22 size to swap them out with the pillow covers that came with our sectional.
I just placed this order today, so I'm really hoping they all go together like they do in my mind ;)

And for visual purposes, this is the sectional we have...

We absolutely love the Radley from Macy's!
We have the 5 piece chaise sectional with the wedge in the Heavenly Mocha Grey.
We ordered an additional armless chair to fit the space we have.

And that is all for today my friends!
I would love to hear what you are ordering from Amazon these days in the comments below!

I hope you are all having a Terrific Tuesday!
