Spring Blog Hop

Tuesday, March 26, 2019

Today I'm participating in a fun little blog hop to share some favorite Spring things.
Clothing, decor, food, etc.

My favorite thing about Spring are the sports!
We technically are a year round sports family.

Now I'm not going to lie...Spring isn't really a season I love.
The temps finally start going up, but it is usually rainy and muddy.
Not something I really enjoy.

But...

As a parent, Spring means watching X play soccer.
Remember, I don't enjoy soccer....but I love watching him play and do things he loves!

We are looking forward to soccer practices and games starting this week!

Now baseball/softball season is usually reserved for early summer in Ohio,
MLB and high school play them in the Spring!
I used to be a huge baseball fan, but over the years it has taken a backseat to life.
But I do try to get to a game with my dad at least once a season :)

And Cleveland is hosting the All Star game and festivities this year!

And there is my undying love for softball.
I played since I was about 6 years old all the way through high school.
I miss those days...

I also missing being/looking that young! ;)

Spring also means trips to the Easter basket back home to get our annual picture :)

What do you love most about Spring?
I would love to hear it in the comments below!

And make sure you hop on over to see what Shelly @ The Queen In Between is sharing!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Give Green A Chance | Style Link Up

Wednesday, March 20, 2019

I have always liked the color green.
Fun fact about me...when it came time to order my class ring in high school I actually ordered a green stone instead of my favorite color red.
I still don't know why :/

Now that you know that useless fact, let's move on with all things green.
I'm over on The Blended Blog today sharing a couple things I wore this year for St. Patrick's Day, as well as some fun green pieces that are perfect for Spring and Summer.
Make sure you head there to check those out as well as link up your blog posts with us.

Since I don't want to repetitive in this space I am sharing a few green accessories that are perfect for celebrating your Irish heritage or just because you like the color green!

These beauties are only $10 (including shipping)!
They come in a variety of different colors and shapes, but these green ones just scream Spring to me!

These Layered Tassel Earrings are only $15 and would add some pizazz to any simple outfit.

These Shamrock Stud earrings are for my true Irish friends!
These are sterling silver and made in Ireland!
So cute!

What green accessories do you have in your collection?
Is green your favorite color?
I would love to see how you rock it!

When I do get to meet her in person I know I will immediately want to hug her!
Granted I will have to look up to her 😉
I am so envious of Lana's height!
She can pull off some styles I can only dream about...

Now head over to My New Happy to say Hello 👋 as well as find out where this tall blonde beauty calls home, when she met her hubby and how long she has been married, and so much more!

What's Up January & A Style Link Up

Wednesday, January 30, 2019

First things first, I just want to thank you all for the love and support from yesterday's post.
You are all the best!

Today I have a #twofer for ya!
I'm linking up with friends at The Blended Blog to share the clothing or accessories we just can't do.

Honestly, there are quite a few styles that I won't get on board with but one thing sticks out more than the rest for me.

The back pack purse.
I wasn't a big fan of them when they were "in" back in the 90's.
Don't get me wrong, I had one super similar to this brown leather one...but it wasn't something I even carried that much.

And if you didn't have a brown leather one, you had this one in either the forest green or navy.

The ones of today are definitely bigger and even have designer names attached to them.

But that doesn't matter to me.
I just can't do it!
I have SO many friends that carry them, but they just aren't for me.

What clothing items or accessories have you saying No Way Jose'?
Link up your post at The Blended Blog, or share on Facebook or Instagram with #tbbstyle

Kellyann. Sarah. Andrea. Deena. Carrie
Lana. Vanessa. Whitney. Abbie. Shelly

Next up I'm linking up with Shay & Sheaffer for...

What we're eating this week...
Chili
Lettuce Wrap Tacos
Brinner
Philly Cheese Steaks
Out on the Weekend :)

What I'm reminiscing about...
Nothing really

What I'm loving...
The new nutrition and fitness program I am currently doing!
If you didn't see yesterday's post, head here!
I would love for you to join me :)

What we've been up to...
Work,

basketball,

 indoor soccer,

Repeat.
Oh, and dodging all the snow and ice we have been getting recently.

What I'm dreading...
How cold it is supposed to be today!
The high for today is in the negatives.
Yes, I said the high :(

What I'm working on...
Office work, this post, catching up on shows.
I like to multitask ;)

What I'm excited about...
The Super Bowl is this weekend!!!

While I am bummed that the football season is officially over after this weekend, I love watching the big game!
Honestly, I love the game and the commercials.
And depending on the year I might watch the halftime show ;)
Are you watching the game this weekend?
Do you watch for the game, the commercials or the halftime show?

What I'm watching/reading...
Just finished season 5 of The Blacklist, so I can finally start watching the current episodes.
Of course I am still watching A Million Little Things, Manifest, and This Is Us.
And X and I just love watching the Masked Singer!

Are any of you watching it?

And I just started reading Reshaping It All by Candice Cameron Bure.

What I'm listening to...
All the music, all the time.

But I have also been trying to catch up with a few shows on Netflix and DirecTV, so I throw in my ear buds and "listen" to them while I'm working at my desk.

What I'm wearing...
All the layers!
Did you see that temp up above?
I have been living in layers upon layers and my snow boots.

This sweater is an Amazon find and I love it!
You can check out all the things I'm wearing lately here :)

What I'm doing this weekend...
Another indoor soccer game for X and watching the Super Bowl!

What I'm looking forward to next month...
Valentine's Day with my loves 💗
Going to the Kane Brown concert with Mic

And celebrating my mom's birthday :)

What else is new...
I actually read an entire book in less than a week!

I shared my motto and word of the year for 2019

I shared a couple of ladies that are rockin' the small business world (here and here).

Bonus Question: What's your favorite family Valentine's Day tradition?
We really don't have any traditions for Valentine's Day.
But a few years ago I starting making homemade chocolate covered strawberries with sprinkles and such.
I love making them...and eating them ;)
They are SO easy to make and a fraction of the price if you buy them from the grocery store or a specialty shop.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Linking up with Nancy @ Nancy's Fashion Style too!

Nope, Nada, Never

Monday, January 28, 2019

I am typically the Queen of so many things I never want to do in my lifetime.
At first I thought about writing a list of things I would do...it would be much shorter ;)

~ Nothing that involves me jumping.
That means no bungee jumping, skydiving, etc.

~ No flying around in anything that I can easily fall out.
Meaning no ferris wheels, parasailing, etc.

~ No standing and looking over a steep anything.
I get freaked out when I am in a hotel that has floor to ceiling windows and I am stuck on a high floor.
I can't even walk near the window.

~ I will not eat anything that I can picture swimming next me.

~ I won't be running in any marathons of any kind.
I have no want/need/whatever you want to call it to do one.

What are some things that you just WILL NOT DO?

Link up with us at The Blended Blog, or share on Facebook or Instagram and use #TBBAsks

And in case you missed it, here is what is coming up on The Blended Blog in the month of February...

Thanks for stopping by today!

Highlight Your Assets | Style Link Up

Wednesday, January 23, 2019

Today is all about what looks good on your body type.
While I may not be a expert in this field, these are the styles that have come to look better than others on my ever evolving shape.

While my husband isn't a huge fan of them, basically all the V-neck tops work best for me.
Don't get me wrong, I do own other tops that aren't v-necks.
And I am not just picking them because of my name ;)
They just elongate my body better.
And my teenage self wants to kick me for saying this right now,
but I don't look as busty.

Which goes hand in hand with the next thing I'm about to say....
Nothing bulky...it just adds extra pounds all other.
Lightweight fabrics are one of my best friends!

I tend to wear things that are slightly looser, but nothing too baggy.
Those ever popular over sized sweatshirts just won't work on me.
When you have curves you just need to keep clean, simple lines that move with your body shape yet don't cling to it.

All my tees are Target - Universal Thread and my sweater is Old Navy.

It is totally the opposite for me on the bottom half of things!

I have a love/hate relationship with skinny jeans and leggings.
I would love to balance out my curvy hips with boot cut styles or even flares, but I have super skinny ankles/calves that work really well for skinny styles.

I probably own some skinny jeans in about every color except purple...I think I need to change that!

Seriously, I have dark washes, black, distressed, white, gold, pink, grays, greens, etc.

Oh look, is that some skinny jeans paired with a v-neck top?

It is ;)

All my jeans are Articles of Society - Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack, or Old Navy.

And when I am not wearing the above uniform in some way, shape or form...I am rockin' a just above the knee dress.

Again, lightweight materials are a must!
I am able to get away with something a little more shapeless when it comes to dresses thankfully.
Just showoff those ridiculously skinny ankles and I'm good to go ;)
In all seriousness, my skinny ankles and heels can be troublesome with it comes to shoe shopping.
I can't find shoes that will stay on my feet!
I walk out of so many of them!
So unless they tie, are super snug through the rest of the foot, or don't have a back at all I typically can't wear them.
So now you know why you basically never see me in flats :/

Enough about me...I want to hear what clothing items work best for you!
