What a weekend!

Monday, September 30, 2013

I am a proud Cleveland sports fan today!
The Cleveland Indians made their way into the playoffs
with a win yesterday!
10 in a row to be exact!!!

Oh, and that other Cleveland team that played yesterday..
They won too!
Technically they are tied for 1st place in the division!!!
This Browns fan couldn't be more pleased with her team today!

Here are some photos from my weekend...

X always gets a kick out of lining up his cars, trucks, etc. in a row :)

"Ah choo" is one of his favorite things to "say" ;)

Tailgating on Lake Erie is the best!

Looking out at one of the many lots to tailgate.
What a great day for some Cleveland Browns football!

Tailgating with Mic :)

The yummy dessert I made for the game :)
Candy Shop Truffle recipe found here.

Jordan Cameron is a beast!
He is great on the Browns and my fantasy football team :)

Being in the stadium never gets old!

That says 17-6 folks!
Browns win! Browns win!

Meanwhile, X was doing this...

Devouring a cupcake while playing at my mom's house :)

How was your weekend?
Happy last day of September!!!

My Wedding - The Reception

Saturday, September 28, 2013

It's Party Time!!!
Our Fall theme carried over into the reception.
Our tables were decorated with vases full of tree branches with leaves dangling from them,
leaves scattered on the tables with mason jar candles - apple scented,
and caramel apples as favors.

We carried the car theme over to the reception as well.
All of our guest tables were named after car companies.

Guests found their names on actual car key tags from the dealership.
It had their name listed as well as a vehicle model from the company table name
they were sitting at.
Just an added touch that played a big roll in our lives.
In lieu of a guest book,
we had colorful leaves set out for our guests to write their well wishes,
marriage advice, etc. to us :)

After walking into our reception as Mr. & Mrs to ACDC's "Thunderstruck",
we shared our 1st dance to
"I believe in you" by Joe & nsync.
We had planned to share dances with our wedding party to a few of their wedding songs,
but some how danced to them all by ourselves :(
Alison Krauss' "When you say nothing at all" and
Savage Garden's "Truly Madly Deeply".

Our cake table :)

And what was on the inside?
Chocolate and white cake of course!
I don't like filling, so we just had more of my favorite...frosting :) YUM!!!
Def Leppard's "Pour some sugar on me" played as we cut our cake.

For the Mother/Son dance Mic and his mom danced to
Josh Groban's "You raise me up".

My dad and I picked a song that we had a history with for the
Father/Daughter dance :)

I seriously never left the dance floor the entire night!
I had a great time getting down with our friends and family :)
No wedding is complete (IMO) without line dances like seen above!
This was while we were doing the "Booty Call" :)

We ended our night dancing to "Georgia on my mind" by Ray Charles
since we were headed to Savannah, Georgia for our honeymoon :)

It was truly a great evening filled with dancing, drinking ;),
catching up with old friends, and lots of laughs.
I really didn't want the night to end...it went way too quick!

Even though the most important day of my life at that point was over,
it was only the beginning of my life as Mic's wife :)
He was/is mine forever!

Oh Friday, how I love thee

Friday, September 27, 2013

I really do love today!
Do you know why?
I am only 1 week away from vacation!!!!!
Waiting until October to take your one and only 1 week vacation is too much!
Hoping I can get through the 4 day work week next week without totally spacing out :)

Anyways, let's celebrate this week!

The Cleveland Browns WON on Sunday!
Seriously!
It even came down to the final drive of the game
and our QB delivered!
As a Browns fan I don't get to say that very often at all!
Let's try it again this weekend against Cincinnati.
Especially since I will be at the game :)

I have been suffering from a horrible eye irritation/infection since the weekend :(
Thankfully my eye doctor gave me some drops to use
and they are working :)
My eyes have cleared up quite a bit.
I actually can see to drive myself places!
On Monday, I couldn't even open my eyes,
so that really is a huge improvement!

My wonderful mom spent the night over the weekend and just helped me get through every day life.
Folding laundry, watching X, you name it!
Sometimes you just need your mom,
and she came through big time for me this past weekend :)

So many TV premieres, so little time!
I have managed to watch a few new comedies,
and of course watched the new episode of Nashville :)
LOVE that show!!!
It was so good, and yet so irritating!

After going 0-2 the first couple weeks of fantasy football,
eXecution Factory finally pulled off a W!
Do you think it had anything to do with the Browns win?
Hmm, maybe?! ;)

That's all for today folks!
How was your week?
How is your fantasy football team doing?
What do you think of the season premieres so far?

Have a great weekend and GO BROWNS!!!!!

Linking up today with Lauren for H54F,
and Darci for Five on Friday :)

Fall Bucket List

Thursday, September 26, 2013

It's here, it's here!
Fall has finally arrived!
There are so many things I want to do, places I want to go,
and holidays to celebrate!
Fall is seriously the best time of year!
Christmas is a very close second ;)

X-tremely V's Fall Bucket List

Take X to Boo at the Zoo in Columbus

Get family photos taken at Apple Hill Orchard or

Buy a pair of cowboy boots in Nashville

Meal prep on Sundays for the week ahead

Visit one of the many Oktoberfest festivals in Ohio

Have a S'mores party!
Check out my Pinterest board here or my
S'mores party ideas in the post here.

Start planning X's 2nd birthday party!
It will be here before I know it! (December 5th)
I talked a little about his 1st birthday party here.

Eek! Pick out X's Halloween costume pronto!!!
My 10 month old penguin last year :)

Visit a pumpkin patch and decorate our finds

Spend a weekend at home doing absolutely nothing!
This will be extremely hard for me to do!

And because I can't end on an uneven number...
Enjoy spending time with our family and friends :)

What is on your Fall Bucket List?
Any "can't miss" Fall festivals you are planning on attending?

Better late than never right?

Wednesday, September 25, 2013

My mind was drawing a serious blank thinking about what to write today.
I mean, I could easily come up with a bunch of random things, but not just one decent topic.
So it is only fitting I link up with Shanna

I am beyond excited that our vacation is only a couple weeks away!
9 days away to be exact :)
Honestly, not sure how I am going to manage to leave X behind :(
Do you have any fun road trips or vacations planned this fall?

After about 5 days of trying to figure out the iPhone update, I still don't like it!
I do not the colors,
making it look super cartoonish to me :(
Do you have an iPhone?
What do you think of the update?
Any tips/tricks I can try out to like it?

While I find it extremely hard to put into words how I feel about the Cleveland Browns trading Trent Richardson last week,
they did suck me right back in with the win on Sunday over the Vikings!
That is what they do :(
But in the end, I will always love them!
Headed to the game this weekend vs. that other Ohio team ;)
Alright Ohio girls...who are you rooting for this weekend Browns or Bengals?

And I will close with a random fact about me :)

I am a coordinated klutz!
Does that even make sense?
If I am playing a sport of some kind or working out I have complete coordination.
However, if I am just operating in my normal every day life...not so much :(
I will trip over my own feet all the time,
spill or drop things for no reason,
burn myself with the curling iron,
walk into the awning on a camper because I just plain didn't see it.
The list goes on and on!
Do any of you have this problem?
Tell me a random fact about yourself :)

Smile,
It's Hump Day!

My Wedding - The Ceremony

Tuesday, September 24, 2013

It's time to become Mic's wife!!!
The church was decorated, everything was in place,
and the guests were seated.

My mom made all of our programs, key tags, favor bags, etc.
She is AMAZING!!!

Since Mic and I met working at a car dealership together,
cars played a big part on our wedding day.
Instead of throwing rice or blowing bubbles,
we had key tags with our names and date attached to a couple of blank
car keys to jingle as we walked out of the church.

Again, the ONLY photo of me coming down the aisle with my dad :(
Still kind of amazed the photographer got this shot
since he missed 2 out of 5 bridesmaids :(

This might be one of my favorite shots of the day.

I couldn't stop smiling and giggling the whole time! :)

Our adorable little flower girl :)
She was so cute facing the guests during the whole ceremony.

The unity candle was lit!
In the home stretch now :)

Our minister saying the final prayer.

You may kiss the bride!!!!

The new Mr. & Mrs. :)

One of only a few photos I have as an adult with my parents.

Mic with his mom and dad.

Notice the photographer was really good...took this shot in the back room of the church!
We don't even have a formal picture of Mic and his parents on our wedding day....
and none with each of the groomsman!!!
Sorry for the added venting.
Pictures from your wedding day should make you think of happy times
in my opinion.

Our ceremony was only about 30 minutes long.
The minister read a couple of scriptures we had picked out,
we recited the traditional vows,
and exchanged rings.
It was a super simple ceremony.
Again, just the way I like it :)

How did you meet your spouse?
Did your big day go as planned?
Which parent do you think I look like?

Only a few short weeks and posts to go until our anniversary!
See parts One, Two, Three andFour here.

YouTube Obsession - Glee Performances

Monday, September 23, 2013

So when the show Glee first began back in 2009,
I honestly didn't have any desire to watch it.
I have no idea why I didn't want to watch it or why it didn't appeal to me then,
but it just didn't :(
And if you know me at all, that is just strange!
I mean some of my all time favorite movies are musicals!
I could watch Grease, Hairspray, Shag,
and all of the High School Musical movies on replay all day long!

Side note: Do not type the word "Shag" into any search engine around children!
I was definitely not prepared for the things that appeared on my screen and X wasn't
even around me!

Back to my story.

I started tuning into a few episodes here and there last season and become hooked!
I honestly can't wait for the new season to begin in a couple of weeks.
Actually, I'm very interested to see how exactly they handle the death of Cory Monteith.

After watching the rest of last season,
I felt myself wanting more of the show.
I wanted to know how the characters ended up in the glee club,
how they got to where they are now, etc.
This is where YouTube comes into play.
I started searching for previous seasons and episodes,
but all that would show up is the performances from the show.
I now watch them all the time!
I love checking out the songs they sang on the episodes I haven't seen yet.
It really makes me want to see the show from the beginning now more than ever!

Here are a couple of my favorites from episodes I haven't seen yet...

And here are a couple from just this past season...

I think a subscription to Netflix will my on my Christmas Wish List this year! :)

Do you watch Glee?
Do you have a YouTube obsession with anything?

???

Friday, September 20, 2013

I have no catchy title for today.
Heck, I can barely come up with 5 things that were remotely good about this week!
I don't mean to be a downer,
but did you see what the Cleveland Browns did this week?
If you didn't, all you missed was an NFL team giving up and throwing in the towel
after only 2 games!
Have you ever heard of something so stupid?
I honestly don't want to watch on Sunday.
In my 34 years of existence I have always worn by orange and brown on game days.
This weekend, I don't know if I can because I am filled with so much anger :(

Alright, alright.
Determined to turn this post around!

5 on Friday is brought to you by
and a few other amazing bloggers.

2 weeks from today I will officially be on vacation!!!
Anyone interested in guest blogging? :)

T.J.Maxx now has an online store!
Awesome! Sweet! Poor Wallet :(

Enjoyed my first pedicure of the summer on Saturday.
Yes, I know Fall begins on Sunday. So what!
I did get a Fall color! Orange :)

Fall TV shows are back!!!
For a TV addict like myself, this is great news :)

Grand Theft Auto 5 came out on Tuesday!
I am not a gamer, sometimes I secretly wish I was.
My husband loves all the GTA games, so this was like Christmas, the Superbowl, and his birthday all wrapped into one!
It truly makes him happy,
so in turn it makes me happy :)

What are your top 5 things of the week?
Are you or your spouse into video games?

Fall TV Guide

Thursday, September 19, 2013

I talked about the fact that I like watching TV,
scratch that,
LOVE watching TV!
I posted about all the shows I like to watch here.

Well my friends...
Fall is almost here and that means
new seasons of my favorite shows!
It also means new shows to test out!

Now I have tried to cut down on the amount of shows I watch during the week
since X came along,
but I still can't help but get excited!

Before X came along I used to refer to myself as the human TV guide.
I could tell you what night, what time, and what channel a
show would air.
This included shows I didn't even watch!
Crazy I know!
How can someone have that much time on their hands that
they memorize the TV Guide?
(Without actually looking at a TV Guide!)
I didn't try to honestly,
I just have a really good memory :)

Anyways, here are the shows I am looking forward to this Fall

and a few newbies I will be giving a shot.
As of this post I have watched the premieres of Dads and Brooklyn Nine Nine.
Both shows were alright, so I will be giving each of them one more watch before
pulling the plug :)

What new shows are you looking forward to watching?
What favorites are returning for another season?
Any shows I "must" check out that I missed?

My Wedding - Getting Ready

Wednesday, September 18, 2013

The big day was here!
No more planning, prepping, making phone calls, etc.
Everything was done and it was time to enjoy it!
before you continue :)
My mom, bridesmaids, flower girl and I started off the day with breakfast at Bob Evans.
We all had a very long day ahead of us and need to fuel up!
After we filled up,
we all headed back to the Holiday Inn to get ready :)

Side note: I have had those shoes for years prior to the big day! Super easy to get around in
and helped with the height difference (1 foot) between Mic and I :)
I had no problem wearing "old" shoes on my wedding day.

My childhood beautician and her daughter did our hair
while we each did our own makeup.
Things were fun, calm, simple.
Exactly the way I like it!

Who doesn't talk on their cell phone while getting ready on their wedding day?
And yes, it was cool then to get your pregame outfit embroidered with your new name and date!
Remember this was 2006 people! :)

The girls helped with the finishing touches of my dress
before heading over to the church in our limo :)

Meanwhile, Mic and the guys took a VERY relaxed approach to getting ready for the day.
They even enjoyed Mic's favorite cocktail of Hennessy & Pepsi before
they made their way to the church.

The guys surprised Mic with this very generous gift while getting ready :)

Our photographer took quite a few photos of each of us with our family and friends
before the ceremony began.

The church was filling up and it was almost time to take the big walk down the aisle
with my dad.
Not before my dad and I had one last shot together though ;)
Tucked away in his tux was a little bottle of Bacardi Rum for him
and a little bottle of Vodka for me!
I wasn't nervous at all,
but taking that shot with my dad made for a great memory.
Within minutes after....we were being escorted to the front doors of the church :)

It's ceremony time!
Sneak peek photo :)

And remember how I said I wasn't too pleased with my photographer the
day of the wedding?
How is this for you...
That photo of my dad and I walking down the aisle is the ONLY photo of me coming
down the aisle!!!!!
Are you serious???

Check back soon for the next installment of My Wedding Series :)
