Style Me Pretty Tuesday

A good haircut & style can literally do wonders for me!

I am not usually one to use many (if any) products in my hair, but since starting this blog, trying to find my personal style, and becoming a mom
I have decided to step up my game.
I know that seems like a complete run-on sentence, but sometimes you need those to get your point across!

Anyways, I mentioned that I LOVE reading The Small Things Blog in this post,
and again in this post.
I really do enjoying watching Kate's hair tutorials, product reviews, etc.!

So of course when she mentions specific hair products that she uses on her hair I listen :)

I purchased a bottle of Aquage Uplifting Foam a couple of months ago after reading Kate's post, and then watching the video below.

After using it almost every day since I purchased it, I can honestly say it does what is says, or at least what Kate says it does!

My hair normally falls flat to my head within minutes of styling, teasing, whatever!
Using this foam pretty much just like Kate demonstrates in her video has given my hair just the natural looking body I have always longed for :)

The unfortunate thing for me is that Aquage is only sold at 2 salons in my area :(
My salon isn't one of those :(
Now I know I could just keep doing what I did, which was head over to one of the salons that actually sells it and purchase a bottle.
However, having a toddler and a full-time job can get a bit time consuming!

So I started looking for a similar product that I could get at Kroger or Target.
I know it is crazy to mess with a good thing, but I just need to be as efficient with my time as possible....heading off in different directions to find a salon that sells a specific uplifting foam is not one of those things I am willing to do!

Lucky for me I found a product that seems to work pretty well so far! SCORE!
(It was a rec from my beautiful stylist!)

I have only been using the new product on and off for a couple of weeks, but the results look promising!
The best part is that I can buy it at Kroger while I am doing my normal grocery shopping! YEH!

What products do you use in your hair?
Do you usually purchase Salon or drugstore brands?
Do change products based on the seasons?
Do you use the same product line for everything?

Until next time...

  1. I love every thing Kate does, she's so good with hair. I wanted to try this Aquage too. I did find a salon by me that has it, maybe I'll get over there soon!

    1. Kate really is amazing! I was kind of skeptical about using the Aquage at first, but it really does work on my hair. Lots of super fine hair! :) I picked up a huge bottle at a local salon for $17, but you can order through amazon too I think.
