The following recipe was brought to my attention while
hanging out with some good friends a few months back.
It is seriously SO SIMPLE!
We always have some sort of snack while we are hanging out with our friends
enjoying good company and a few good drinks ;)
One evening my friend whipped up this dip that I felt like I couldn't
get enough of!
I had to have the recipe!!!
I have made it more than a few times now,
and I absolutely love it!
While brainstorming what items I will be bringing for
tailgate time,
I though of this dip and how perfect it would be!
I am sure most, if not all of you have had some form of this dip.
So without further ado...
Cheesy Salsa Dip
Ingredients
1 package of cream cheese (I use the store brand)
1 jar of medium salsa (I use Chi-Chi's chunky style)
1 can of Hormel Chili with Beans
1 bag of tortilla chips (I use Tostitos Scoops)
Place cream cheese, salsa, and chili into a crockpot and turn on low.
(I set the cream cheese out ahead of time to soften a bit.)
You can turn the crockpot on high to try to melt together faster,
just be careful not to burn the dip.
I usually am super impatient,
so I am constantly stirring and keeping the crockpot on HIGH until
everything becomes one :)
Make sure you turn your crockpot back to the low or warm setting when
the dip is complete.
Serve the finished dip with your favorite tortilla chips.
That's it!
Seriously super easy and super yummy!
Your fellow tailgaters will love it!
Oh, and remember to turn the crockpot off before you head into the game!
And if you have leftovers, it reheats really well :)
There you are, perfect tailgate dip just in time for football season.
Browns Fans...
Don't forget to tune into the 2nd preseason game tonight at 7:30pm
against Reggie Bush, Matthew Stafford and the rest of
the Detroit Lions!
Go Browns!!!
omg I want it right now, sounds so good.
ReplyDeleteIt is so good! I have to be careful not to eat the entire crockpot of dip!!!
