Summer is coming no matter what this virus or anything else has to say about it.

So today I decided to share some pieces that I think would be great additions to your closet this summer.

Shorts

I personally love chino shorts!

Another week, another jacket.
I've mentioned before that I have a thing for jackets and coats.
Nothing fancy, but I have a lot of them.
Minus the few days of snow we recently had, this time of year I get excited to break those jackets out!
Today I'm sharing one way I wore my military jacket recently.

I switched out the tank color just because that is what worked best for me.
I absolutely loved how this recreation turned out!

Target Try-On

Let's be real..I don't have all the money in the world to go shopping and order all the clothes I like/want.

But every now and then I do have a small window of time to go try some things on at a local store.

Otherwise, I just share what I see online that I like.

Sunday after a football game that isn't worth discussing ended, Mic knew I was itching to get out of the house.

So while he and X hung out at home, I went to my go-to place (and practically the only place we have in town)...Target.

I didn't plan on trying anything on at first, but then I saw a few things I liked too much.

I think this buffalo plaid tunic is a must have for Fall and Winter.

You could easily pair this with some leggings or skinny jeans with a front tuck.

I have a thing for jackets...especially denim jackets!

I love this faded black one!

The arms aren't lined, but the body of the jacket has that super soft material throughout.

This sweater would be great thrown over a bralette!

It is just slightly oversized to give that casual, but not too casual look.

I wanted to like this sweater so much, and I do like it....just on someone else ;)

My younger (and barely an A cup) self would be amazed that I am saying this, but this print isn't meant for someone busty.

Honestly, I don't think I'm that busty...but this print sure gives that illusion!

Same thoughts apply to this gorgeous green sweater.

I wanted to like it so much, but this style just makes me look bigger.

NO ONE in my world wants that!

But either way, it is a cute sweater...just not on me :(

This sweater was right up my alley!

I paired it with these super cute camo pants, but you could easily wear it with jeans or dress pants for work.

Now this top is tricky!

While typically a crew or boat neck style isn't my friend, the thinness of the fabric makes it work.

Camo Skirt | 3 Ways

When the lovely ladies at Salt & Light Lifestyle came out with this camo skirt I knew I had to have it!

Those sweet ladies sent me the skirt and I couldn't wait to style it!

It is so versatile, so I decided to show you 3 different ways I would wear this skirt.

~ one ~

This look screams Spring/Summer to me!

I paired the skirt with a white tank that I knotted at the waist,

a simple long necklace (similar),

some slide on sandals (similar),

and my must have denim jacket (same brand).

I absolutely love this look!
And I felt great in it!
This would be great for a business casual office, a teacher, lunch with friends, errands, etc.


~ two ~

I knew I wanted to pair this skirt with my combat boots (similar).
I pictured rockin' them with a concert tee and leather jacket.
But today I wanted to show another option.
This time I did a front tuck with my basic black tank (similar),
threw on one of my favorite black hats (similar) and called it an outfit!

This is SO me!
If it is chilly, just throw that trusty denim or leather jacket over the tank and you still are 100% pulled together :)


~ three ~

The last way I decided to style this skirt is honestly what I pictured in my head since the moment I saw it.

This skirt has the perfect amount of stretch that I simply pulled it up and made it a body con strapless dress.

Love it!
I paired it with some black open toe booties (similar) and sunglasses, but you can always add a jacket, swap the booties out for heels or sandals too.
Honestly, the possibilities with this skirt are endless.

I am planning on pairing it with a white dress shirt tucked in for another great work option soon.

Simple Date Night Look

Mic and I rarely do date nights.

And when we do, it is usually last minute so I keep things pretty simple.

Friday night we were able to have a "just us" dinner, so I thought it was the perfect time to try out my new BP. booties I picked up in the Nordstrom sale.

Vigoss Distressed Skinny Jeans - mine are at least a few years old, but these are the same brand and super similar! And they are on sale for under $36!

BP Booties in Cognac - Unfortunately, the sale is over and they are at their regular price :(

Splurge vs. Steal Help

I don't like to spend money very often.

And when I do, I want to get the most I can get for my money.

So when I can find a something I really want for a steal I am all over it, and I want to share it with all of you!

But since I am not a part of any sort of rewards style group and such, the only dollars I have to spend on clothing and shoes are what I actually set aside in cash.

But that doesn't mean I can't help you out!
