Happy Friday morning friends!

I miss you all so much!

I have been training a new employee all week, so it has left little time for anything else.

Especially blogging :(

I really don't like that :/

Despite being tired, it has been a good week outside of work :)

On Friday night, we stopped in the pizza shop from the week before and it was once again wonderful!

The pizza, the atmosphere, and the delicious coffee!

White Chocolate Lattes have my heart :)

On Monday, it was one of my very best friend's birthdays!

MY DAD!!!

Hoping to get to visit with him this weekend to celebrate :)

On Tuesday, my little brother and his wife found out they are welcoming a baby girl in June!!!

X is already super excited to play with her :)

I also got to see my favorite stylist & friend on Tuesday evening for a much needed hair update.

Darker hair, some caramel/copper highlights, and lots of layers!

My kind of warm hug if you ask me :)

And last night I joined some friends for Paint & Pour at one of the local restaurants.

I have been to Painting with a Twist for my SIL's bachlorette party, so I was excited to see how this one would go :)

We painted a beach scene, enjoyed a drink and some apps, along with good company :)

Such a fun group of ladies :)

~~Unfortunately, this is where my week is turning sour :(~~

~~As I quickly sat down to write this post at 6am, my phone decided it wouldn't connect to my computer and now won't turn on at all!~~

I feel like this week everything is in slow motion!

I did get to go and have my hair down on Tuesday evening, so that was fun!

You can see the new color and cut below :)

For me, Jauary was a month of crazy!

We had an employee retire and hired a new one.

I am ready for things to get back to normal!

I also found out my little brother and his wife are expecting a baby girl in June!

In February, I am looking forward to taking X to Disney On Ice, seeing Richard Marx in concert (again), and who knows what else!

Today is all about resolutions, goals, plans for the new year.

Other than my phrase of the year, I am trying to keep things light this year.

So my only goal for 2016 is to keep living a healthier lifestyle.

What does that mean?

I have loved following the #21dayfix

Keeping up with my daily workouts, eating smaller portions, putting good food into my body, but of course still enjoying life :)

Meaning the occasional cocktail, ice cream, etc. are still allowed ;)

Happy Crazy Busy Monday!

It is currently 1:15pm EST and I am just sitting down to write this post.

Why you ask?

Because I am busy training our new employee.

While that is exciting to have an additional body to help out around the office, it unfortunately means the blog might be a bit slower than normal this week.

I must admit, I do most of my blog writing while at work.

#sorryMic

But now I have no idea when I will do it :(

I might have to wake up earlier, go to bed later. Eeek!

When do you guys write your posts?

Now that I got that out of the way, I have exactly 45 minutes to eat my lunch and write this post while the new girl is away for lunch.

Multi-tasking at its best!

Mic really liked having dinner at Brumby's last Friday, so we headed there again this past Friday night for pizza pie and coffee.

Yes, seems like a weird combination but oh so good!

This week was much more laid back and quiet.

It was nice to change it up and know that we still really enjoyed the space, and the food.

And in true Vanessa fashion, I got the exact same drink as I did last week.

White Chocolate Latte :)

Mic enjoyed a mocha frappe...and a slight bit of brain freeze too ;)

X and I shared a pizza once again.

And Mic enjoyed his own Kicken' Chicken pizza.

While I am thinking of changing it up this Friday, I will definitely go back in the future!

Saturday we FINALLY took down and put away all of our Christmas decor and trees.

I had been dreading getting it done, but it was over in 30 minutes or so.

While the rest of the east coast was getting snow dumped on them, we were enjoying slightly warmer temps and sunshine.

I was itching to get the boys out of the house and take a ride, but no such luck :(

Mic finally suggested I get my grocery shopping done on Saturday night just so I could get out of the house for a bit.

Fine.

I picked up these mini pies since it was #NationalPieDay after all ;)

Sunday we hung out around the house most of the day playing with cars, cleaning, and watching football.

Again, because I can't stand to stay cooped up in the house all day, X and I headed to Walmart for a few things we needed.

We ventured down the frozen aisle to get some ice cream for Mic and came across our very favorite kind of ice cream...SUPERMAN!!!!

The exact Superman we get at our favorite ice cream shop is sold at our local Walmart!

X and I were super excited and picked up a 1/2 gallon to bring home with us!

So needless to say we had ice cream cones for dessert last night!

And Walmart has moved up a notch in my book :)

Phew...I finished before she got back from lunch! lol!

Maybe I will start my post for tomorrow now ;)

TGIF!!!

Let's jump right into my favorites for the week!

We tried a new spot for pizza on Friday night and loved it!

Honestly, whoever came up with the idea to combine a coffee shop and a pizza shop is pretty much a genius in my opinion!

The latte was excellent, the pizza was yummy, and the desserts were great!

I mentioned my love for all things frosting in my Momfessional Moments confessions on Tuesday :)

X and I had some down time over the weekend and instead of playing Lego's or cars the entire time, we worked on writing and drawing.

~three~
We celebrated Mic's birthday twice this week with dinner at my in-laws house on Tuesday,
and then out to eat on his actual birthday to our favorite Japanese Steakhouse.

~four~
I decided to unbox my January Stitch Fix on video this time around.

And I know I mentioned this last week, but I MUST mention it again this week.
