Fall Stitch Fix

I have mentioned my upcoming trip to Nashville a few times now on here.
I wanted to update my wardrobe with some new Fall pieces, so I ordered a box from Stitch Fix!
I actually received an offer to get it without the styling fee, so I figured why not!
Actually, I ordered two boxes this month.

Here is what came in Box #1 from Katie....

FATE Annastasia Ruffle Bell Sleeve Cardigan $68

Honestly, as soon as I took this out of the box I knew that it wasn't for me.

I am not a cardigan girl.

And those ruffle bell sleeves definitely aren't for me.

PISTOLA Audrey Moto Detail Skinny Pant $88

Loved these moto jeans!

They were super soft and fit really well, but the back pockets did nothing for me :(

Between those pockets and the price tag (without the discount) I decided they weren't for me.

I really liked this top, but I have a similar one on my closet already.

It my note to Katie I stated that I was looking for a white lace/eyelet top.

This is the closest thing she had to what I was looking for.

It fit well, but I wasn't a fan of the light blue underlay, or the fact that it was sleeveless.

They only reason I sent it back was because I wasn't keeping anything else :(

BRIXON IVY Alessandria Crochet Bib Lace Top $54

I mentioned again in my note that I was looking for a white lace top, and this time mentioned the longer sleeves.

I was sent this top that comes with a tank underneath it.

Overall fit and style was just OK to me.

This tie back top is almost sweatshirt like.

It is so soft and comfy!

I really liked this top, but I just bought a hoodie that was the same color and material.

I have pinned so many images with sweaters and tops that have elbow patches.
Between my note and my Pinterest boards, Katie sent me this sweater to try out.
I love the color and the patches, but the fit is just OK to me.

The color of this top is gorgeous!

I just wish it had longer sleeves for Fall/Winter!

I actually pinned this exact top on my boards, so I was super happy to find it in my box.
Unfortunately, the color around the neck doesn't look right on me :(

So at the end of the day, I ordered 2 fixes in the month of September (both had style fees waived).

And I unfortunately didn't keep anything from either of them :(

I might give it one more shot before calling it quits for good.

And thank you Katie for checking out my Pinterest boards and really listening to me in my notes to the stylist.

I just wish some of these pieces had fit better.

Happy Wednesday Friends!
I figured I would join all the lovely ladies at The Blended Blog for a Fashion post!

I recently ordered another box from Stitch Fix and again had a new stylist.

I was super nervous to see what I was going to get!

My box arrived last week when I was super busy and on my way out the door, but I did steal a quick peek at the style card.

First glance...I like what I see :)

That night I tried things on for Mic and X, so I am going to give you their thumbs up or down too!

THML Baley Embroidery Yoke Knit Top - Navy $54
X - was half up, half down - He liked the navy and white on the bottom, but didn't like the top.
Mic - thumbs down - I could have guessed that. He doesn't like loud patterns of any kind.

I loved the fit of this top, but it was just a bit too busy for me.

In the end, I sold it!

Yep that is right!

I posted it on a board on Facebook and someone else now is wearing and loving it! :)

Papermoon Kathie Kimono - Off White $44
X- again was half up, half down - He liked the little things that looked like X's but nothing else.
Mic - thumbs down of course

I actually really liked the pattern and the colors, but I am not a kimono person.

I like things that are complete if that makes sense.

Thankfully, someone else on that great Facebook board loved it so I sold this one too!

 Blu Pepper Kenward V-Neck Top - Blue $28
X - thumbs up! - He liked the "X's" in the top.
Mic - thumbs up - He liked the color of blue and that it was pretty plain :)

(Don't mind the wrinkles on this one, I took it straight out of the box)

I am not normally a dusty blue person, but this was super cute on!

I immediately saw myself pairing it with shorts this summer, or even my white skinny jeans for a night out!

Kept it for me :)

Mic - thumbs up as well

This was love at first sight for me!

I was praying it fit well and it did!

Keeper for sure!

Verse Francine Knit Dress - Navy $48

Love, love, love this dress!
It is super lightweight, great pattern, can be dressed up or down, and can be worn in multiple seasons!
Love navy and white too!
Kept it of course!

So my stylist for this time around was Katie and I think overall she did a great job!

Such a good job that I have another fix arriving this week that I hope is from her as well!

January Stitch Fix #2 Review

After I received my last fix and didn't have much luck, I thought let's give it another shot.

Another fix, unfortunately another stylist :(

If you remember from my last fix, I requested to have Ali again.

While it wasn't perfect, I thought she got my style for the most part.

So here is my review for box #2 

First up is this striped sweater and light wash skinny jeans.

It is hard to tell from the lighting, but that those stripes across the body are black not purple.

And those stripes on the arms are pink.

Let me back up and review with you my thoughts on pink <insertalltheyuckyfaceshere>

My profile clearly states not to send me anything in any shade of pink.

Take the pink away and the sweater isn't all that bad.

But it was a bit roomier than I would like.

As for the jeans, I liked the minimal distressing and even the zippers weren't too bad.

However, they were mid rise at the waist.

Again, something I have stated in my profile that I don't like :(

Next up is this cold shoulder top that is all the rage these days.

I actually had a similar style top back in middle school.

Let's start with the obvious...pink flowers!

I hate to sound like a broken record, but I am going to.

Again, pink is on my do not send list.

Higher than pink....FLORAL!

JELLA C Clarnella Cold Shoulder Top - $44 - RETURNED

There is no sugar coating this swing top.
Well, maybe...the color was nice.
Other than that, why would you wear this unless you are a stick figure or pregnant?

The final item in my box was this camo jacket.

Ok, so maybe this stylist glanced at my Pinterest boards or profile for a second.

I feel like this was thrown in my box just to get me to spend money seeing as the above pieces were 100% not me.

Honestly, this jacket was super cute and I did think about keeping it but then I looked at the price tag.

I just wasn't cute enough worth it.

So believe it or not, I actually sent the entire box back!

First time for everything I guess :/

I think I am going to postpone ordering another Stitch Fix box until Spring.

But, that doesn't mean I am done trying to update my closet! lol!

I think I am going to head back to Evereve Trendsend and see what they decide to send me :)

January Stitch Fix Review

I received a gift card from my lovely mother for Stitch Fix so I couldn't wait to order my next box!

I must say, after my last box I was anxious to see if I would get my old stylist back.

And if I would get items I requested.

I always go for the style card first.
Unfortunately, Erin wasn't available so Ali gave it a try.

And now for trying it all on...

Up first is the Dark Green Laila Jayde Busby Cowl Neck Zipper Detail Knit Top $58 and the Just Black Cordelia Skinny Jean in black $78.

I was super excited that I finally received some black skinny jeans, and the green on that top was great!
Unfortunately, those jeans looked like and felt like someone else may have tried them on and sent them back. They were a little stretched out in the waist and I just wasn't feeling it so I returned them.
I loved the zipper detail of the top, but the overall shape on me felt weird so I returned it as well.

Next up is the 41Hawthorn Kavanagh tie Neck Blouse in Grey $54

Now I don't mind leopard/cheetah prints, but this was a bit much for me with the gray background.

Plus, if you would have heard Mic's reaction to the print you would have sent it back too! lol!

Papermoon Wigan Shoulder Zip Knit Top in Black $48

Loved this at first sight, so I was really hoping it fit well...and it did!!! :)

I, of course kept it!

Pixley Ashton Crochet Lace Kimono in Black $48

Umm, no.
So I don't mind the crochet/lace look, but the open front was a no from the start for me.
I prefer tops/sweaters/etc that close.
So it was returned.

In the end I only kept one top, and due to the fix before that not being up to par my style fee was waived for this box.
So I paid the cost of the top I liked and kept, and sent the rest back free of charge.

Now I do have another fix on its way to me because that gift card is burning a hole in my pocket! lol!
Fingers crossed it is great!
I did ask to have Ali again in hopes that she understands my style preferences a little better this time around.
We shall see!

Birthday Stitch Fix

So I placed an order for a box from Stitch Fix at the beginning of December.

Since my birthday is coming up I thought it would be a great treat to have some fun new pieces to wear :)

So here is what I got...

Oh, and I totally cheated this time.

I pulled out my old iPhone and downloaded the app so I could take a peek at the items I would be receiving.

Where's the picture of me wearing this striped top you ask?

I probably took it off faster than I put it on!

The deep v in the back was really deep!

Totally not practical for me.

Honestly, I was super bummed out about this fix :(
I sent a pretty lengthy note describing pieces I would like to see --- fun tops mainly for holiday parties and birthday celebrations.

I guess I pictured something with a little sparkle.

I even mentioned in my note all the things I had recently pinned that were similar or exact items Stitch Fix had.

No such luck :(

I did mention I was looking for some leather like leggings and I did get something fairly close.

So in the end I kept those Liverpool skinny pants and sent the rest of it back :(

I would love to give Stitch Fix another try, but I am hoping they listen to me more next time.
