Bourbon, Bowling & Bathrooms

Last week was rough!
While there are some exciting things going on in the field, I am also extremely stressed out!
Friday night I was literally home for less than 5 minutes when I had one of these in my hand.
I may have enjoyed three of those bad boys within an hour. #keepinitreal

We enjoyed some takeout Skyline Chili, and pretty much called it a night after that.

Bad Blogger Alert! I took 0 pictures most of the day Saturday :(
Active/bad preschooler can do that to you.

Saturday morning we were super lazy!
We ate breakfast in bed and played until it was time to get ready to head north.
We met my brother, dad, and the groomsmen for my brother's wedding at Catan's for a tux fitting.
X was not feeling it, and pretty much cried the entire time he was getting measured :(
Once he was done he decided he wanted to run all over the place.
Not good when there are beautiful and extremely expensive wedding gowns everywhere!
We ended up sitting in the car watching TMNT on the tablet while we waited for Mic to get measured.

We were starving, and X was 5 seconds from full blown tantrum mode, so we opted out of lunch with the gang and chilled at Chick-fil-A.
My happy place :)
Seriously, can you please put one in the field?
I would be so grateful!
Heck, take all the BK's and Wendy's out if you have to!

After lunch we were feeling brave so we made our way over to the mall to again look for shoes for me.
Finding gold shoes that I like is seriously impossible!
Well, this trip it was possible!
I walked both floors of Southpark Mall and decided to stop in the Shoe Dept right as we were leaving.
There they were. Simple. A little bit of sparkle. But most importantly...GOLD!
And what made them even better? $9.97!!!!
I don't care if I wear them one time and never again! $10 for shoes is a steal!
I had ordered these and these, but both were way too big around the ankle/heel so both went/are going back.

So glad I finally have my shoes! Now it is time to get my dress altered!
Today is exactly 2 months until the wedding!!!
#mylittlebrotherisgettingmarried :)

On our way back home I looked back to see this :)

We arrived in the field just in time to meet some friends for bowling and dinner.
X had so much fun bowling and dancing!

Half way through our time there it turned into cosmic bowling.
Think flashing lights, disco balls, loud music.
X was in heaven!

We stopped by a local Mexican restaurant for dinner and of course had to let them know it was our friend's birthday :)

Sunday we were all about getting things done at the house!
Of course I started my morning with grocery shopping and free Starbucks :)
Starbucks always makes me smile...even more when it is free!

When I got home I threw some things in the crock pot for Chicken Parm. Recipe to come soon.

Then it was time to get to work!
Mic and I ran a few errands to pick up the rest of the supplies we needed for the bathrooms, and then got to work.
I can't wait until things are done and everything is back in place!
We have lived in our house for almost 9 years and never touched the bathrooms!
So glad we are finally getting them done :)
Here is a glimpse of the before...

It was a great full weekend!
Looking forward to more fun this week and weekend :)

How was your weekend?
Did you get outside and enjoy the nicer weather?
Are you working on any home remodeling projects?

  8. What a fun weekend! I love those shoes!
We hadn't done anything to our bathroom since we bought our house 10 years ago. On Valentine's Day, we decided to rip it up on a whim, and we're still working on it. Can't wait to be finished!
