You probably saw that title and were super intrigued right?
No? lol!
It is Monday, so of course I am going to recap our weekend,
but I am also linking up with Andrea @ Momfessionals today.
If you don't read Andrea's blog you are missing out!
She is seriously the cutest teacher I have ever seen!
And I die every time I see a photo of her beautiful kids (she has 3 and is that tiny) on Instagram!
She basically tells me what to take a photo of each day for Instagram (I love it!) and now she is telling me what to write about (Thank you!).
Today's prompt is "What's On....Your DVR"
If you want to follow along check out all the writing prompts below
If you are new to these parts I need to fill you in on a little secret...
It is true.
I LOVE watching TV!
I get this gift curse trait from my father.
I have always enjoyed TV, but especially in adulthood.
Thank God for DVR's!
I have scaled way back on how many shows I watch since X came along because I just don't have the time to fit them all in,
take care of him, and work a full time job.
Don't think I wouldn't try though!
I used to record 2 shows at a time every night of the week!
And sometimes a 3rd show on the additional DVR!
Now a days I keep it to about 2 shows a night, sometimes 3 if the seasons overlap.
And I try hard to watch those shows pretty quickly.
The shows that do build up on the DVR are the ones that I watch with Mic.
Mainly because if he has work to do or appointments in the evenings we don't get around to them before we have to go to bed.
Here is what our bedroom DVR currently looks like...
Not too bad! lol!
The only reason all those episodes of Wahlburgers are on there is
because a few of our shows have been on hiatus or just had their season finale.
You should see this thing in the Fall! CRAZY!!!
What is on your DVR?
Now onto our weekend!
Friday after work the weather was still really nice so we headed to one of our favorite spots for dinner...
We actually visit the campground area.
Since pretty much no one was there yet, we basically had the whole place to ourselves!
This kid would eat corn for every meal of the day if we let him!
Being silly by the lake :)
On Saturday I enjoyed another booty barre class before heading down to Columbus.
To say X hates getting his hair cut is an understatement!
He was fine when he was younger, but nowadays he screams through the entire thing!
I had heard about a place called Cookie Cutters that was specifically for kids.
They are able to sit in chairs that are animals, cars, planes, etc.
They also have a TV at each station and some toys for the kids to play with.
Unfortunately, none of that worked for X :(
X screamed literally like someone was killing him!
However, in a quick 20 minutes his cut was done and it looked great!
The moment I took him out of the chair his crying stopped and he started to smile :)
He then went on the slide that is inside the salon and all was right with the world :)
His cousin wanted to go down the slide with him.
We then proceeded to go to lunch and stopped by the mall for the kids to play at the play area.
X didn't know what to do with himself since the place was packed!
He just ran and hopped all over :)
Sunday morning I went shopping with a couple of friends.
I am not a shopper!
And I can't tell you the last time I went shopping with a friend!
I felt like a fish out of water! lol!
We all found a few things we liked, but only one of us walked away with a new swimsuit...the goal of the trip.
The rest of the day was filled with laundry, grocery shopping, and just hanging out at home.
Perfect weekend!
He loves to make faces for the camera! lol!
So what did you do this weekend?
Where do you shop for swimsuits? I need help!
I have a corn lover too! And I don't even want to think about swimsuits. I am NOT a fan of being seen in one while preggo thanks to un-toned legs and new flabby areas!
ReplyDelete"Big Bang Theory"' was close to making my list, but I haven't caught up with it in the past season or so.
ReplyDeleteWe really enjoy it though!
I would love to have a DVR because sometimes I get stressed out when I'm trying to get Nolan in bed, get a snack, feed the baby, and still make it to the couch in time for my show ;)

He is so adorable! I used to record so much more than I do now. Like I had at least one show every night. Now I have next to none. It doesn't help that a lot of shows have ended recently & I'm addicted to Netflix.
ReplyDeleteI've heard good things about Big Bang Theory.... adding it to my Hulu playlist today :) Thanks for linking up!!!
ReplyDeleteI love that linkup,
ReplyDeleteI am going to have to try it out!
Also, I dont blame him, corn is the shizzz!
Showered With Design
- also, thanks for linking up!
Glad I didn't participate in this prompt because my DVR is about to explode! We watch nothing on live TV at all. What a fun linkup! X looks adorable with his big boy haircut. :)
ReplyDeleteI have Once Upon a Time on my DVR
ReplyDeleteThis is my first time to your blog. I love that you have Hart of Dixie on your list. I didn't think anybody else watched that show.
