Christmas is so close I can taste it!
I mean it is less than a month away people!
I look forward to this time of year for so many reasons....
It's socially acceptable to listen to Christmas music all day long -- even though I like to listen to it all year long :)
My normal TV shows take a holiday break so I have time to bake, decorate, and hangout with the ones I love :)
And Christmas movies are played non-stop from Thanksgiving day to the end of December! :)
I seriously would watch Christmas movies all year long if I could!
They just put you in such a good mood!
They just put you in such a good mood!
And X is starting to pay attention to the TV (bad mom moment here) longer, meaning I will get to share all these wonderful movies with him as well!
So in no particular order (maybe the first 2 are), I give you...
X-tremely V's Favorite Christmas Movies
The Grinch
I own this movie and must watch it every year starting on Thanksgiving night! I even had a birthday party with the Grinch theme one year (My birthday is December 16th)! I turn it on every time I see it is airing during the holidays. I just can't get enough of it!
The Christmas Story
Up until the Grinch was made, this was my ALL.TIME.FAVORITE.MOVIE!
Who doesn't love this movie? And it was filmed in Cleveland :) You can actually visit the house they filmed the movie in too! That is on my short bucket list to do :)
Elf
This movie just puts the spirit in you when you watch it. And that shower scene/song is my favorite part!
Fred Claus
I am a sucker for all Vince Vaughn movies, so this one is no surprise that is high on my list. And Hello! Ludacris! :)
Four Christmases
Again another Vince movie, but this time you add Reese to the mix :) Honestly, I can relate to this movie quite a bit since we always have a million places to visit for the holidays.
The Christmas List
I found this gem awhile back and I just fell in love with it. Every year I search the TV listings for when it will be on :)
The Family Man
It's one of those movies that makes you realize that the grass isn't always greener.
A Muppet Christmas: Letters to Santa
I.LOVE.THEMUPPETS!
I could easily name all the Muppet Christmas movies to this list! I am seriously a kid at heart :) The last movie I saw in the theater was The Muppets with Jason Segel and Amy Adams.
Honorable Mention
Bad Santa
Die Hard
The Family Stone
Santa Baby
Santa Baby
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
Side Note:
I have never seen Polar Express or Miracle on 34th Street.
What are your favorite Christmas movies?
Do you agree or disagree with me?
Are there any movies I must see?
Remember this Thursday is the last time to link up for
We ALWAYS used to watch Jim Henson- Emmit Otter and Jug Band Christmas growing up, so that is a must see on my list.
ReplyDeleteElf & Grinch (both cartoon and Jim Carrey one) definitely!!!
Charlie Brown Christmas one is cute!
I love all the movies on hallmark channel
Nice! I like the cartoon Grinch as well :)
DeleteI need to watch more on the Hallmark channel! I think I always just stick with ABC Family :)
Hi Vanessa! Just hopped over from the link up! So where in Ohio do you actually live? I'm in Cleveland and my little guy was born in 2011 also! Love all those movies and can't wait to watch them all, but I really love watching Polar Express with my little man. He loves trains and is obsessed with that movie so it's definitely a favorite for us! New follower!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining me Sarah! I am currently in central Ohio (Mansfield), but I grew up on the west side of Cleveland. What part of Cleveland are you in?
DeleteI am really hoping to watch the Polar Express this season with X :) He is obsessed with trains as well! lol!
haha Die Hard, wouldn't even have occurred to me but I love it. Love Fred Claus. And I also always watch Jingle All the Way, the Santa Clauses, and Love Actually. But hands down favorite is Home Alone!! I never miss it!
ReplyDeleteYep! Die Hard takes place at Christmas :) Can you believe I have never seen Jingle All the Way, the Santa Clauses, or Love Actually? I need to add them to my list! Love Home Alone too :)
