I wanna be a Rock Star!

Tuesday, June 6, 2017

Happy Tuesday!
My weekend started earlier than expected when X woke up with a terrible cough on Friday morning.
So I worked from home instead so he could stay home and rest most of the day.

I did have to run into the office to grab a few things, so we decided to bring our lunches with us and eat with Mic.

X LOVES getting to pretend like he is Mic and "do work"!

We came home, did a bit more work and then took naps.
Yes, I said naps plural.
I woke up and started getting dinner ready while X continued to sleep for awhile.
I think he took a good 2 1/2-3 hour nap!

Our grill is old and the grates had completely broke apart, so I was super excited to test out the new ones we just picked up...but mainly to just have grilled food!
I love just about anything cooked on the grill!

Saturday X woke up and seemed to be doing much better despite waking up in the middle of the night with a coughing fit.
We headed to X's soccer pizza party that afternoon and he was so excited to see his buddies and to get a trophy!

We left Pizza Hut and immediately headed to a birthday party at our friend's house :)

I swear we are always the last people to leave!
Actually, we were :/
But these kiddos had a blast running around together and pretending they were a rock band!

He doesn't listen to it much with me, but my child apparently loves to see heavy metal/death metal style! lol!

When they weren't inside rockin' out, they were outside jumping around in the bounce house.

Sunday morning we woke up and decided it was time for X to see his first movie at the theater.
I know, it is hard to believe he is 5 1/2 and has never been to the theater!
There are a few reasons for that...
1. He doesn't sit still
2. He doesn't know how to be quiet during the movie
3. He is such a homebody that I could never get him to go!

He had been talking about Captain Underpants for awhile now and couldn't wait for the movie to start!

 X loved it!
I shouldn't admit this, but potty humor is huge in our house so this movie was right up X's ally.

On the way out he saw the arcade and couldn't resist!
They had the Jurassic World game and X was in heaven!

The rest of our weekend was filled with grocery shopping and preparing for the week ahead.

What did you do this weekend?
