Show & Tell | A day in my life...

Tuesday, November 3, 2015

So I had high hopes of recording a day in my life on a Sunday, but that just didn't happen :(
So instead, you get to see what a day at work looks like with me.
Trust me, it is more fun than it sounds.
Come check it out!

My day started at 5:55am.

That is when my alarm goes off.
I typically lay in my bed for a few minutes after I turn off my alarm to get my body and eyes to truly wake up.
At this time, I quickly check Facebook, Instagram, emails, etc.
After doing that for about 5-10 minutes, I get up, splash some water on my face, put on my sports bra and head downstairs to get my workout in for the day.

6:15am - Workout
That 30 minutes is tough, but feels so good!
Then it is time to hop in the shower and get ready for work.
I mentioned before, during my shower is when I do oil pulling.
That 15-20 minutes flies by when I do it then.

7:15am - Once out of the shower I get Mic and X to wake up if they aren't already up.
Get X's breakfast together for him to eat while I do my makeup and hair.

8am - Get breakfast and lunch packed for Mic and I and head to work.
This particular morning I did not have lunches prepped :(
But I did manage to throw a roast in the crock pot for dinner last night!

**So up until this point, I had totally forgot to take any pictures :( #bloggerfail

9am ish - Once at work I check the phone messages, emails, etc. while eating my breakfast.
#benefitsofowningyourownbusiness
Typical breakfast these days is half a whole wheat English muffin with peanut butter and some sliced strawberries.
Most of my morning looks the same.
Prepping appointments for Mic, checking emails, and skimming through some of my favorite blogs :)

9:30am - This is also when I write my Monday post.
Yes, I am a slacker.

Noon - Before you know it is lunch time.
Today I am having spinach with some shredded rotisserie chicken and a little bit of Bolthouse Ranch dressing.
Since Mic isn't here for lunch today, I am checking in on a few more blogs and writing this post as I go.

2:30pm - More prep, more checking of emails, answering phones, and snacking on some grapes in the afternoon.

I headed out at 4:15 today to run a couple errands before picking up X from school.

4:15-4:30pm - I call my mom every day on my way to pick up X or run errands in this case.

4:45pm - Cranking the radio to some of my favorites on my way to get X :)

5pm -  Picking up X from school.

5:15pm - Home and into my comfy clothes for the night :)

5:30pm - Dinner is served!
It may not look like much, but this roast and carrots were so good!

6pm and on -  Play cars with X, have a mini dance party, and watch Big Hero 6.

7:45pm - Bath time

8:15pm - Starting to watch Supergirl :)

9:30pm - Lights out and bedtime for X, and most likely me.

Thanks for coming along for a day in my life :)

  4. I keep seeing people post about working out in the morning... I wish I could do it. Well, right now it's impossible because I"m up so much, but let's be serious, even if I was sleeping I wouldn't be able to get up and workout. lol
