I am sure I say this every month, but I don't care!
How is it already the end of the month????
AHHH!
No matter what I try to do to stop time, it doesn't work so I need to learn to live with it.
So on with..
August Edition
What we're eating this week
Last night we enjoyed some yummy sausage in a brown sugar sauce, and I have chicken and dumplings set for tomorrow :)
What I'm reminiscing about
High School!
After putting together my "Who were you in high school" post, I have been thinking about it more and more.
And of course, with the school year starting back up it brings back so many wonderful memories of cheering on Friday nights at the football games.
Hoping to take X to a local high school game this year :)
Go Big Lex!
What I'm loving
This weather!
The temps have been in the 70's and there has been a cool breeze through the air.
I feel and smell Fall coming!
I am looking forward to seeing lots of these colors at our new house :)
What we've been up to
Moving!
I feel like I have been saying this for months, oh wait, I have!
We are moved and have listed our house for sale this past weekend.
What I'm dreading
My in-laws going on vacation!
I know this is selfish, but we loose our only babysitters for two weeks while they are gone :(
Must find another option soon!
What I'm working on
My annual scarf exchange!
I so badly wanted to have it ready to go at the beginning of September, but with all this house chaos it has been put on the back burner :(
Fingers crossed I can get it planned for the beginning of October!
And is anyone interested in another blogger scarf exchange?
Ahem, Deena ;)
What I'm excited about
Getting back to a normal routine!
That probably sounds really dull and boring, but I crave routine!
I like things to go in order, and know the how/when/where/etc of my daily life.
This every day not knowing what is happening for dinner or sometimes even lunch is driving me crazy!
What I'm watching/reading
The few moments I have been able to watch TV it has been playing catch up with Chasing Life, watching the finales of Pretty Little Liars and The Astronauts Wives Club, and trying to get through season 2 of Banshee on Google Play before all my Fall shows start.
What shows are you looking forward to returning?
Are there any new shows that have caught your eye?
I am super excited for The Blacklist to return and Heroes Reborn to start!
What I'm listening to
Lots of Eric Church, well mainly Talladega because that is X's favorite song!
When he isn't in the car, I am currently loving...
What I'm wearing
Mad for Plaid!
I am over sandals, tees/tanks, and shorts!
Bring on the flannel shirts, boots, and jeans!
With the cooler temps this week I have been rockin' my favorite denim jacket (same brand), some booties, and my new plaid shirt!
Sorry, but I can't find it anywhere online :(
Must find a new spot to take #ootd pics!
What I'm doing this weekend
Fantasy Football Draft!
We are heading north for our annual draft day get together at my dad's house.
We came in 2nd place last year, so we are hoping to keep it up this year!
These were are keepers from last year
Andrew Luck - offense
Ha Ha Clinton-Dix - defense
What I'm looking forward to next month
Unpacking!
We have boxes, upon boxes of stuff to sort through and find a new home somewhere within our new home.
What else is new
Sarah @ Foxy's Domestic Side and I are hosting a hair challenge this month!
We are trying hoping going to style our hair in 7 different ways over the course of a week and then share it with all of you!
Nothing crazy, because I am SO not a hair stylist!
Really, this is something to make me do my hair every day and possibly try a few new things as well.
We would love for you to join us!
Send me an email or just comment below that you are interested in joining the fun!
Even 5 days of styles would work!
Bonus Question: What's your favorite Back to School tradition?
My mom, and for a few years my brother helped, make me a cake or cupcakes to come home to on my first day of school.
Yesterday was X's first day of preschool so I had to do the same!
Unfortunately, I had to work all day so he is getting some mini cupcakes courtesy of the Kroger bakery ;)
You better believe he will be getting some homemade goodies once he starts Kindergarten :)
This year they look like these.
#sorrynotsorry
And that is it my friends for the month of August!
Bring it on September!
OH man, is it that time of year already??!!! If it snows tomorrow, I will cry. Let's chat, though!
ReplyDeleteFantasy foooootball!! And realllll football!! ALL THINGS FOOTBALL!! Yeah- i'm pretty pumped. We're totally slacking on the fantasy front this year....due to multiple babies on the way and multiple moves in our group, we're struggling to get everyone on the same page for the draft!
ReplyDeleteAlso fall in the country=heart eye emoji. My favorite.
A couple blogger friends and I are doing a scarf exchange, you should join! We open it the last week of September :)
ReplyDeleteYes to a blogger scarf exchange, I'm in! :) and I did a friends scarf exchange, I should put another one together for this year too. Thanks for the reminder!
