Better late than never right?
Wow! 2014 was definitely a year of ups, downs, and in-betweens!
But looking back on it all, I wouldn't have it any other way!
January
I tried out quite a few new recipes this month - Skinny Shrimp Stir Fry became my favorite!
I made the switch from Birchbox to Ipsy and loved most of the bags I received each month.
We celebrated two of my favorite guys in January as well - my dad and Mic both had birthdays :)
And X started showing interest in potty training...that died rather quickly :(
February
We took X bowling for the first time and he loved it!
We were pinspired to make some fun and different Valentines :)
I met a wonderful group of Cleveland bloggers for bunch.
My Hunter's arrived and I have loved every moment of those bad boys!
And the biggest thing to happen in February was that my mom got married!!!
March
In March we hosted our first small group dinner and had a St. Patrick's Day theme.
I loved getting recipes and decor together for it!
In my next life I will be a party planner! ;)
My little brother told me that he was getting married in 2015!
Can't wait to be a bridesmaid in his wedding :)
Mic and I attended the Cleveland Auto Show - one of our favorite things to do with each other.
And we enjoyed our first couple's yoga session!
April
We celebrated Easter with a trip to the basket in Lorain, colored eggs, ate peep s'mores, and hopped like crazy in X's new bounce house!
Mic and I also enjoyed another round of couple's yoga followed by a fun evening at one of our favorite local spots.
We took an afternoon to ourselves and watched Draft Day in the theater.
And I participated in my first style challenge - I "met" some amazing ladies through this challenge who have honestly become some great friends :) Some day we will all meet!
May
X tried my very favorite ice cream for the first time (Superman) and loved it!
We celebrated Mother's Day, and went bridesmaid dress shopping with my mom and future SIL.
We took X to see Sesame Street Live with his little buddy.
We had our second small group dinner - it was a Mexican theme!
And we watched the Cleveland Browns draft Johnny Manziel :(
June
In June, we headed south to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for vacation (here & here) with two of our favorite families.
The weather and company were perfect!
We also celebrated Father's Day and Mic rockin' the Advocare 24 Day Challenge - he lost 30lbs overall and has kept it off!
I also attended an Ohio blogger meet-up in Columbus and loved meeting those ladies!
July
We swam a lot!
From my in-laws to our friends, we swam and cooked out a lot!
And we loved every minute of it!
I took X camping for the first time on our annual Cook trip - my dad, my brother, me and now X :)
I even purchased my first pair of booties since 1st grade! Love them!
August
We attended the Blueberry Festival and enjoyed some super yummy food - grilled mac and cheese anyone? :)
We "mowed" the grass a lot with Mic, and kept cool playing with the water table.
I celebrated a friend turning 30 (so young) with some great ladies, and we attended our annual fantasy football draft - we ended the season in 2nd place :)
September
In September, Mic and I spent a long weekend in Austin, Texas visiting his best friend. It was a perfect getaway, and I seriously can't wait to get back to Big Tex!
X and I were dates to a wedding that Mic was in :)
We made some more yummy new and old recipes.
Attended the Bellville Street Fair (one of my faves), and I hosted my 2nd annual scarf exchange with some high school friends.
Oh, and I met Eric Church ;)
October
In October, my FIL had heart surgery and made it through with flying colors.
My dad came down to watch X a few times for us and he loved getting to spend time with Pa :)
Mic and I celebrated 8 years of marriage as well :)
Mic and I took in the home opener for the Cleveland Browns on a perfect day.
We officially starting potty training, and my little Michelangelo went trick-or-treating like a big boy.
And we hosted our first S'mores party!
November
My obsession with the red cup was crazy!
We celebrated my grandma turning 80, attended the Usher concert with my little brother for his birthday, chopped my hair off, and decorated for Christmas.
We also finally saw my cousin Billy after 15 years and met his two daughters, celebrated Thanksgiving with my family, and welcomed our elf Sheldon back :)
December
In December, we celebrated X turning 3 with a TMNT party!
We made lots of homemade treats and presents :)
I was able to visit with an old friend and celebrate her pregnancy.
I attended the annual Father/daughter Browns game, celebrated my 36th birthday, and we went on a Pizza, PJ's & Christmas Lights adventure :)
We built our gingerbread house, made some yummy breakfast for the three of us before hosting Christmas dinner at our house.
We ended the year with a random drive to Coschocton, and then the three of us ringing in 2015 with some pizza and smiles :)
I can't wait to see what 2015 has in store for us!
