Style My Way | Working It

With the cooler temps moving in each morning here in Ohio and me being back at the office full time, I figured I would share a few of the outfits I have been wearing to work these days.

First day of school for X and first day back to the office for me!
I reached for my must have denim jacket, black pants and a tank.
So easy to throw together!

I own this same jacket in two washes it is that good!

Honestly, I am thinking about adding more washes if they offer them!

Style My Way | White Shorts

On this edition of Wannabe Wednesday, I picked one of the looks Brooke from Pumps & Push Ups shared in her 5 Ways To Style White Shorts.

You all know I love all things black and white, so when I came across this look I knew I could easily recreate it with items in my closet.

The only thing I truly switched out from Brooke's original look was the shoes.

I don't own any leopard print shoes, so I swapped in my camo sandals for my recreation.

No!
But that is what makes this look more me :)

Style My Way | Wannabe Erin ;)

Before we left for vacation I had ordered some new shorts from Old Navy.
Unfortunately, they didn't arrive before we left :(
I thought about returning them since summer is coming to a close here pretty quickly, but I tried them on and I love them!
So then I thought, let's style them and share them with you all!

I hopped on Pinterest and found the perfect, and super easy way to style them.
I took my inspiration from the one and only Erin @CottonStem
First of all, if you don't follow Erin what are doing?!?!
Her home, her style...I love it all!
She styles seasonal wardrobe capsules that I think you would all be inspired by!

I threw on some similar pieces I had in my closet, and Voila!
Mustard, white and denim inspired by Erin, but styled my way 😄

Business Casual Legging Love

Today I brought some coziness to my work attire.

I wanted to style some basic black leggings for the office for you.

I found so many options when looking at Pinterest.

So I decided to recreate two that I found.

Look #1

Cardigan

I actually have a mustard/brown cardigan I could have used for this look, but I decided to switch it up and use my cream cardigan.

I also swapped out the cheetah/leopard scarf for an Aztec print one that I have.

I think it turned out great!

Perfect for a business casual office during the colder months!
The possibilities for this look are endless!
With an all black base, you could throw on just about any cardigan and scarf and immediately be dressed for work.

Let's be real for a moment...
There was no way I was going to look like Jen in my recreation.
But that isn't what I'm going for.
I want to show you that you can get inspiration from one of the biggest influencers out there, and not have to be 100% like them.

What I Wore | Vacation Edition

Vacation is always great, but man it feels good to be back at home (and back to my routine)!

Today I am sharing some things I picked up before we headed south that I think you will all love as well.

I kicked off our drive to South Carolina with a super appropriate graphic tee from Old Navy that says Summer Fun!
Unfortunately, I can't find it on their website :( 
But I linked some other summer tees that are currently on sale :)

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually found a romper I really like!
This one is from Walmart and is under $13!
(Currently only available in L or XL in 4 colors)
I actually ordered another romper from Amazon because I thought that maybe this one had converted me....the one from Amazon is being returned :(
It was SO HOT while we were on vacation, so I limited my accessories to a couple bracelets.
I wore a custom cuff from Farmgirl Paints and one of my new Victoria Emerson bracelets :)

Next up is one of the comfiest tanks!
Versions of this tank/tee have been all over blogs and Pinterest this year.
I absolutely loved it paired with my orange J.Crew Factory shorts (super old).

I wanted something easy to throw on when we headed out for a quick lunch before heading back to the pool.
I love these camo shorts (similar pair) from J.Crew Factory I scored in early Spring.
And I threw on my black slides from Target.
Easy peasy!

Side note: I bought these shorts and after loosing weight/inches I needed to size down.
Well, they sold out completely :(
So instead of returning them, I just kept them!
They are loose for sure, but I liked them too much to give them up :)

I love this dress from Amazon!
Shay over at Mix & Match Mama shared this dress and I knew it would be perfect for vacation.
I paired it with the best seamless bras, Talulah sandals, and bag from TJ Maxx.

I took this picture a couple of weeks before vacation, but I wanted to share this tee and sandals again.

This was the perfect drive home outfit!

Another Amazon find (Thanks Brittany!) and Talulah sandals for the win!

I picked up this adorable white eyelet top (similar) from Old Navy, but due to the heat down south I never wore it.

First day back from vacation and the temps were in the 60's!

I knew I had to wear it!

Because I had errands to run, I just paired it with some distressed jeans and comfy sandals.

I am so bummed that it doesn't show online :(
