Online Purchases & What's Up March!

Wednesday, March 27, 2019

What haven't I purchased online recently should be the real question! lol!
Well that isn't exactly true.
Other than a pair of shorts that I am about to share, I haven't ordered anything since mid-February.
But I do have online carts full of things I am still hesitant to hit submit order on ;)

I did receive these shorts last week in the mail, but I think I have to return them 😭

They are so cute!
But they are too big :( #perkofdoingfwtfl :)
They are currently sold out in most sizes, so I am trying to decide if I want them bad enough to leave them big or just return them.
What you do you think?

What have you been ordering online recently?
Share your items and link them up with us at The Blended Blog, or post to Facebook or Instagram and use #TBBStyle.

Now let's get on with What's Up Wednesday | March Edition!
Linking up with Sheaffer & Shay

Bunless Philly cheese steaks
Brinner
Tacos
Chicken & Veggies
Pizza
Out

What I'm reminiscing about...

This picture popped up earlier this month for St. Patrick's Day!

Look at all that cuteness!!!
How was that 2012????

What I'm loving...

That the last month has been really good mentally, physically, etc. for my little family!

What we've been up to...

A lot and nothing all at the same time :/

What I'm dreading...

Nothing at the moment!

What I'm working on...

Trying not to go insane ;)
I'm currently working from home today and I can hear X bouncing a ball.
😖😖
But really I'm working on this post, things for the office, and then I'm about to get my workout in for the day :)
So it's a good day!

What I'm excited about...

That we are starting to plan our summer vacation!
Better late than never!
I was pretty set on going to Destin, Florida again this year...but I'm just not feelin' it anymore.
So currently looking at other options to get away from home and where the masses go ;)

What I'm watching/reading....

Our DirectTV wasn't working right the other day, so I decided to see what Netflix had to offer.
Due to my love for teen dramas, and Luke Perry...I decided to give Riverdale a shot.
I'm hooked!

I don't like binge watching shows, but I finished season 1 in just a few days and I'm currently working my way through season 2.
I love it!

Meanwhile my DVR is now building up with episodes of The Blacklist, The Voice, etc.
And I would love to say I'm keeping up with my new books...but I'm not.
Riverdale is all that is going on with me right now. lol!

What I'm listening to...

My child whine...#justkidding
I have been listening to a lot of the new X Channels on the Sirius Radio app.
Basically all the 90's, 2000's and today's workout mixes.
Here is a sample of some of the songs I love to hear while working out or driving around in my car right now...

And this is currently my favorite song/video out right now...

What I'm wearing...

Lots of green during the month of March ☘

Just some pants/jeans I haven't worn in over a year!!! 😁😁

Unfortunately, they aren't $5 this week but they are 3 for $20!

What I'm doing this weekend...

Celebrating a friend's little girl turning 7 with a donut party :)

We are heading to watch some of the Alumni basketball tournament!
And then dinner with friends :)

What I'm looking forward to next month...

Spring soccer starting for X!
He actually has practice this week.

Pictures at the Easter Basket

And better weather!

What else is new...

I'm finishing up Round 2 of Faster Way to Fat Loss and I'm truly amazed by all the changes I have had!
I am already signed up for VIP starting on April 1st.
It's not too late to join a round or join me in VIP!
Shoot me any questions you may have or head here to sign up and join me :)

Coming Soon!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Give Green A Chance | Style Link Up

Wednesday, March 20, 2019

I have always liked the color green.
Fun fact about me...when it came time to order my class ring in high school I actually ordered a green stone instead of my favorite color red.
I still don't know why :/

Now that you know that useless fact, let's move on with all things green.
I'm over on The Blended Blog today sharing a couple things I wore this year for St. Patrick's Day, as well as some fun green pieces that are perfect for Spring and Summer.
Make sure you head there to check those out as well as link up your blog posts with us.

Since I don't want to repetitive in this space I am sharing a few green accessories that are perfect for celebrating your Irish heritage or just because you like the color green!

These beauties are only $10 (including shipping)!
They come in a variety of different colors and shapes, but these green ones just scream Spring to me!

These Layered Tassel Earrings are only $15 and would add some pizazz to any simple outfit.

These Shamrock Stud earrings are for my true Irish friends!
These are sterling silver and made in Ireland!
So cute!

My Teen Style | Shoes

Wednesday, March 13, 2019

Basically everything from my teen years is making a comeback or recently just came back into style.
I was in middle school and then high school in the 90's.
I'm talking baby doll dresses, combat boots, flannels, wider leg jeans, cropped tops.
In a nutshell, every outfit or style from the movie Clueless was cool!

Not gonna lie, I totally rocked the look above in high school!

Today I am showing you items that I rocked all those years ago,
and I love that they are back in style and I can wear them today!
If I wasn't wearing my cheerleading uniform and shoes or softball uniform and cleats, you would probably catch me in one of these types of shoes.

Combat Boots

I had boots super similar to the ones below.
They tied in the front, had zippers on the sides, and just were SO COOL!

I wore them with everything!
But the best combination was those boots and baby doll dresses :)

Now you probably aren't going to see me wearing a baby doll dress anytime soon....it does nothing for my shape!
But I have been wearing my new version of combat boots any chance I get!

Birkenstock Sandals

Another shoe that has made a huge comeback are Birkenstock sandals.
I didn't have Birks back in high school...I don't think anyone did.
But we wore some super similar dupes back then.
And almost 90% of the time they were tan suede like the ones below.

Unfortunately, one thing that did happen quite often back then was this...

The dreaded socks and sandals look!
It is horrible!
Again, not gonna lie to you....I did wear mine like this back then.
You weren't allowed to wear open toed shoes to school, but we somehow were allowed to wear these with socks.
So literally EVERYONE did it!
Typically it was with jeans, not shorts.

Another time most people wore this look was when you were dressed for a game (softball, basketball, etc.) and weren't allowed to wear your game shoes outside or in the school (no cleats on the gym floor).
Typically then we wore our uniform socks with some sort of sport sandal.
But every now and then you would see people rocking these sandals.

So while you won't be seeing me rock that lovely look above in the near future,
I will be wearing my Birk dupes I recently picked up on Amazon!

I can't wait to wear these this summer!

I actually quickly threw them on to take a picture of me wearing them, but it wasn't pretty!
I need a tan and a pedicure before I can post those pictures! lol!

Now I want to know what clothing items, shoes or accessories do you still wear from your teens?
Is it a style that recently came back or something you never could part with?
I would love to hear in the comments below!

Style Link Up | Winter Boots

Wednesday, March 6, 2019

I have quite a few pairs of boots and booties that I love to wear.
But today we are talking about Winter Boots.
The ones you put on to trek through all the mounds of snow and ice.

Years ago my snow boots started falling apart.
They weren't anything special either.
So when I went shopping for new boots, I decided to look for something that would be more of a 3 seasons boot.

I originally bought my Hunter rain boots (on sale of course 😉) thinking I could totally wear them in the winter too.

And I did for quite awhile.
But my feet weren't nearly as warm in those boots despite having boot socks, so I knew I needed to look for a real pair of winter boots.
Plus they aren't the easiest boots to wear with dress pants to work.
My pants just ended up wrinkled if I tucked them in, or wet from the snow :/

In walked an amazing sale on Sorel boots!
I'm talking about a HUGE sale.
I scored them for $67 (originally $190!!!)!
I never would have thought about spending that much money on winter boots before.
But after having them for two winters now, I can say my price per wear is right around 67 cents or less (probably lower than that at this point).
Even if I paid full price it would be about $1.60 per wear!
Well worth it!

What type of boots do you wear in the winter months?
Do you even need winter boots where you live?

We would love for you to link up your post with us at The Blended Blog today!
Or share your winter boot looks on Facebook or Instagram and use #TBBStyle

Thanks so much for stopping by!

What's Up February & Style Link Up

Wednesday, February 27, 2019

Happy Wednesday!
I took the last couple of days off the blog just because..and it felt great!
But I am back today and ready to go with What's Up February!!!

What we're eating this week...

Breakfast for dinner
Bunless Philly cheese steaks
Chicken sausage and potatoes
Taco Bowls
And probably going out this weekend

What I'm reminiscing about...

That sweet profile is already a few years old :(

I shared this bag earlier this month, but you must get one for yourself!
This collaboration only happens about twice a year.
Make sure you are following Rooted Leather & Little Mugshots for when they will be open for orders!
This is the perfect thing for you or as a gift!

What I'm loving...

The FWTFL program that I started at the beginning of the year.
It has seriously been life changing for me!
Head here to hear about my results thus far!

What we've been up to...

Anything and everything! lol!
Indoor soccer games,

Birthday parties

Snow tubing with friends,

X went to his first Cleveland Cavaliers game

Bowling and dinner with friends

School Valentine's Day Party

The Kane Brown concert

What I'm dreading...

Absolutely nothing :)

What I'm excited about...

My new Revlon One Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer.
I have only used it once with wet hair, and twice with dry hair...but I love it!
I have super fine hair that typically tangles 3 seconds after I brush it.
Round brushes usually aren't my friend either.
My hair gets so caught in them that I can be in tears trying to get it out.
I watched quite a few YouTube videos before picking this thing up.
Again, my hair is super fine so it doesn't give it a huge amount of volume.
BUT...my hair was SO SO shiny and smooth after using it!
I almost liked my hair straight ;)
Mic even said he has never seen my hair look like it did!
Crazy!
It is kind of bulky, but I think that feeling will go away the more I use it and get used to it.
It totally eliminates the need for a hair dryer and separate brush!
Honestly, I loved it so much I convinced the receptionist at our office to get one and I ordered one for my mom :)
Sure hope they like it!

This is after just washing and then drying my hair before heading to bed.
It is SO smooth and shiny!!!

What I'm watching/reading...

A Million Little Things of course!
If you aren't watching it you are missing out!
Also...This Is Us, The Masked Singer, and The Blacklist.
I'll start watching The Voice once they narrow it down a bit.

Reading much of anything has taken a backseat these days.
I can barely keep up with the blogs I love so much :(

What I'm listening to...

All things Kane Brown!

I also decided to give a couple podcasts a try.
Currently listening to Hello Baby with Angela & Matt Lanter,

and Whine Down with Jana Kramer.

What I'm wearing...

I ordered this super cute necklace from Apricot Lane and I love it!
It is my favorite quote/saying :)

I scored this super cute heart sweater on Amazon and it has been on repeat all month long :)

I remixed a few ways to wear this combination of colors and patterns

I rocked this oh so 90's look to X's Valentine's Day party

I received my new Ohio camo hat and have been wearing it every chance I get!

And I rocked my new Metallica tee with some black skinny jeans, hooded faux leather jacket and some combat boots to the Kane Brown concert.

And I just wore this Hello striped sweater that I scored for $9 at Walmart!
It is the perfect sweater for Spring!

What I'm doing this weekend...

Looks like X will have a double header for indoor soccer this weekend.

What I'm looking forward to next month...

St. Patrick's Day!!!
Honestly, it is one of my very favorite holidays!
It must be a Cleveland thing!
Some schools even close for the parade...everyone you know is celebrating.
It's just a great day!

We even had a St. Patty's party last year!

What else is new...

I picked up these Sally Hansen INSTA-DRI Matte polishes and I am in love!!!
I always use the Sally Hansen polishes and these are just as great!

And I have a Disney Giveaway going on right now!
Head here to win a copy of one of these great movies for your family!

Bonus Question: What is your favorite board game to play with your kids?

We don't really play board games, but we do love playing UNO together!

Linking up with Shay & Sheaffer today!
And don't forget to link up your style posts with us at The Blended Blog today!
