This weekend was filled with all sorts of things! Here is my recap :)
Friday evening was dinner out with our good friend TJ at Texas Roadhouse. While the food was good (from what I can remember), X was not :( He usually is really good when we take him out to eat, but Friday night was different than any time we have been out! He started throwing his dishes and yelling/crying really loud...IT.WAS.HORRIBLE! We couldn't get out of there fast enough!
He thought he was SO funny!
Saturday was filled to the brim with things to do, see, etc. X's daycare did a "Parents Day Out" in the morning and it was great! They even included breakfast and lunch during the 5 hours he was there :) We dropped him off at 8am and were able to go get some breakfast, run a few errands, and I did a little shopping! (More about the shopping tomorrow) We picked him back up by 1pm and hit the road for Olmsted Falls for the opening for Kool Berry. It is a great little frozen yogurt shop with lots of flavors and toppings :) Check it out today!
We then headed to Macaroni Grill with the owners/friends of the yogurt shop. Unfortunately, X decided to act up like he did the night before :( UGH! So embarrassing! Again, we ate as fast as we possibly could to get him out of there!
Mic and I ended the night by watching the movie Ted. It was a pretty funny movie and something we both needed after the past two evenings out with X! It didn't hurt that Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis played the main characters :)
Sunday was Family Day! We headed over to the Mohican area and grabbed some lunch at Pizza Hut. Afterwards, we stopped by Pleasant Hill Lake for a nice family walk. Unfortunately, the lake and whole camping area was pretty flooded so there wasn't a whole lot of areas to walk around. I think X still enjoyed himself just being able to get out of the car and walk by himself :)
Cheese Puffs & Pizza = Lunch of champions :)
My happy little guy walking around :)
Pleasant Hill Lake extremely flooded!
Another great weekend with my 2 guys! Can't wait to see what the next week and weekend have in store for us!
What did you do this weekend?
Until next time...

V,
ReplyDeleteyeah restaurants are becoming not-so fun anymore. we went to "Smokey Bones" last week, and shoveled in our $12 meals so that we could leave because Nolan was getting into everything on the table. I feel silly spending money at restaurants if we can't enjoy the food. oh well! love the photo of X at Pizza Hut! Kool Berry sounds good :)

That is the worst when you spend a decent amount of money on dinner and then have to rush through it :( We have decided that if X is with us, than we are going to quick, cheap places(McD's, Skyline Chili, etc.) :) Good luck with Nolan! I think they are just at the age where moving around and exploring are much more fun than behaving! lol!
