It's the last day of 2018!
That is crazy!
But at the same time I am more than ready to move on to 2019!
Let's look back at some of the highlights of this past year :)
January
We brought in 2018 with dinner, dancing, and more importantly some of our best friends!
We surprised Mic with a super simple evening with friends for his 40th birthday :)
And X started his first season of organized basketball with Upwards!
February
X and I made his first Valentine's Box for Kindergarten and we loved how it turned out!
I'm a sucker for chocolate covered strawberries!
I'm also cheap! lol!
So I made some yummy treats to celebrate Valentine's Day with my guys :)
I'm not typically a wine drinker, but I hosted a wine gathering at my house and had the best time laughing and enjoying friends!
And we said goodbye (for now) to some friends we got to know really well this year :/
March
I spent a day catching up with good friends over food and shopping.
I spent a day catching up with good friends over food and shopping.
We hosted a St. Patrick's Party for one of my favorite holidays!
We headed south to Columbus to cheer on our high school basketball team in the final four!
And we watched Mic and some fellow teammates and friends in an alumni basketball tournament!
April
We celebrated Easter in all the blue and white ;)
And Spring started regardless of how cold it was outside :/
May
I got back together with these lovely ladies and attended the Justin Timberlake concert in Columbus!
T-ball season kicked off for X and I!
I'm sad it may have been my last season coaching :(
Fingers crossed I can help assist this coming year!
We blinked and X graduated Kindergarten!
We absolutely loved his teacher, but were super excited to move onto 1st grade!
June
Due to the rain, we had a fun indoor cookout with friends :)
X and I headed south to Zoombezi Bay water park with friends!
We were all smiles until the rain chased us away :(
One of my favorite moments of the year was my very first girls trip to celebrate Haley's 40th Birthday!
It was simply the best!
We attended a surprise 40th birthday party for one of Mic's childhood friends :)
July
We lit up the night on 4th of July with sparklers!
We headed to Sandusky, Ohio to see the World's Largest Rubber Duck!
We celebrated another wonderful friend's birthday :)
X and I loved all of our goodies for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!
Soccer camp was a blast!
X and I went to see Teen Titans: Go To The Movies!
We joined my dad and step mom while they were camping to take advantage of the pools and soak up some summer sun!
And the very next week X started swim lessons!
The week before he was still wearing a floaty!
Day 1 he was swimming under water by himself with no floaty!
And diving into the deep end!
So proud!
And we had a fun little party to end our baseball season!
August
We attended Browns training camp!
And took in our first Columbus Crew soccer game!
And just like that summer was over :(
X (and I) loved that I was able to work from home this summer and do some fun things together!
But we were also excited for school to start!
I drafted what turned out to be the worst team ever for Fantasy football :(
And we ended August by watching our local high school football team!
Side note: Mr. Ohio Football 2018 - Cade Stover was on our team!
We celebrated another 40th birthday with our dear friend Vinnie!
And Cleveland Browns football was back!!!
I was nervous, but excited about having Baker Mayfield on our team!
WOW!
He has been amazing!
After going 0-16 last year, we won our first game on Thursday Night Football!!!
Fall soccer started and we bumped up in age brackets.
The fall season was rough, but the kiddos still seemed to have a great time!
October
Mic and I attended 2 Oktoberfest celebrations this year!
The first in our town, and then back to Minster, Ohio with our good friends!
We got to have lunch with the cutest 1st grader we know!
A few moms got together and we took our boys to the local high school soccer game.
I got to see an amazing concert with my dad!
Despite only one true member left of The Eagles, they were absolutely amazing!
We celebrated Halloween by trick-or-treating as Crackshot Nutcracker (Fortnite).
And had fun at the school Halloween party as well!
November
We celebrated one of X's best friends turning 7 with a giant Chewbacca cake and some jumping!
I hosted my annual Favorite Things Party at a new spot and it was wonderful!
The theme was wearable accessories this year :)
Thanksgiving was a little weird this year, so the three of us went out to eat.
December
We kicked off the month celebrating our guy turning 7 with a football themed party!
We watched lots of Ohio State football!
And cheered them on to a Big 10 Championship!
It was my turn to turn 40!
We celebrated with some wonderful friends down in Columbus!
We cheered on our Cleveland Browns like crazy in our new gear :)
I got to go to the final home game of the season for our annual Father/Daughter game and had a blast!
From tailgating to the game and after, the place was electric!!!
And then it was time to start our Four Christmases! :)
I ended the year with one more concert with my dad :)
The Akron Civic Theater was gorgeous!
And Firehouse was great as always!
Mic, X and I headed south this weekend to try out Son of Thurman.
These burgers are HUGE!!!!
We brought more than half of each of them home with us.
We had the best time getting away for a little bit!
And on Sunday...
We cheered on our Cleveland Browns in their final game of the season as much as we could.
Unfortunately, they lost against the Ravens 26-24 but put up one heck of a fight!
Baker Mayfield passed Peyton Manning and Russell Wilson for the most TD's thrown in a rookie season!
He didn't even play the first 3 games!!!!!
Another thing that helped make that loss a little bit easier to swallow...
The Pittsburgh Steelers needed us to win to so they could make the playoffs.
SO happy they didn't make it :)
