What's Up April!

Wednesday, April 24, 2019

Happy Wednesday!
I can't believe how fast this past month has gone!
It is already time for...

What We're Eating This Week...

Bun less Philly Cheese steaks
Tacos
Pork loin and Corn on the cob
Spaghetti & meatballs
Pizza
Out

What I'm Reminiscing About...

These two best buds on their very first "play date" 6 years ago!

Look at how much they have grown...

What I'm Loving...

All the changes that continue to happen from doing the Faster Way to Fat Loss program since the beginning of the year are truly amazing!
I shared my results from Round 2 here :)

What We've Been Up To...

All the soccer games and practices...

And lots of going out to eat after late games...

We had our first baseball practice last week...

Mic and I have been going to so many stores and such to get our hands on #allthethings we need to pick out for the house.
Of course that can make you hungry ;) so we have tried out a few new spots like Dickey's Barbecue Pit...

And I couldn't resist taking a picture of this in the bathroom....
#iamlikea12yearoldboysometimes ;)

And we celebrated a good friend's 7th birthday!

What I'm Dreading...

Nothing at the moment!

What I'm Working On...

I mentioned above we are focused all on the house things these days!
From floors to lights to faucets...

Any tips on how to stay sane during this process is much appreciated :)

What I'm Excited About...

X playing baseball this year!
We just picked up all his new gear this past weekend :)

He totally suckered me into these Cleveland Indians batting gloves!

What I'm Watching/Reading...

Once again DirecTV was acting up so I searched for something light hearted on Netflix and decided to give Schitt'$ Creek a shot.

Oh my goodness do I love it!!!
I am through season 2 now and I can't get enough of it!
Do you watch it?

I am still watching The Blacklist, trying to get an episode in of The Voice here and there when I get the chance, and my dad convinced me to watch The Village and now I'm hooked!

I haven't been reading much these days.
Heck, I haven't been able to read any blogs lately either :(
But I'm trying to catch up as much as I can! :)

What I'm Listening To...

All the country music and pop hits right now...

What I'm Wearing...

My go-to denim jacket (I have the light and medium wash) has been on repeat these days now that we are finally getting some warmer temps!
And I broke out my camo sandals finally and love them!

And this camo skirt!

What I'm Doing This Weekend...

X has a soccer game and then I am heading north for the annual Duck Races fundraiser :)

What I'm Looking Forward To Next Month...

Soccer season ending, baseball games beginning,
Memorial Day cookout,
and the school year coming to a close.
X has had a fantastic year and we can't wait to see what 2nd grade will offer in the Fall!

What Else Is New...

Our house is moving along!
I shared some pictures of the before here.
Picking out all the hardware and such is exhausting for someone who doesn't care that much about it and doesn't like to shop! lol!
For those of you who have built a home...how do you do it?

Last Minute Easter Basket Ideas

Monday, April 15, 2019

Raise your hand if you child doesn't like candy, but loves all things Fortnite...✋

Besides gummy bears, X isn't a fan of candy or chocolate.
Which makes Easter a bit more challenging.
One thing he does love is Fortnite!
I stopped in Target and Walmart this past weekend and found some things that will leave him flossing the rest of the day once he finds his loot 😄

From Fortnite pajamas to fun graphic tees, Target had exactly what I needed.

All Fortnite apparel at Target and Walmart.

X got this version of monopoly for Christmas, but it would be great for Easter as well.
It's the perfect way to pull your kids away from video games without them realizing they are doing so ;)

X has a few of these figures too that he loves to play with.
He is getting an Easter Bunny one this weekend :)

All Fortnite Toys at Target and Walmart.

Your kiddo isn't into Fortnite?
No problem!

Throw together a beach bag with some new sandals, beach towel, new swimsuit, sunglasses, etc.

Swimwear for Boys & Girls

Or how about a new DVD, some coloring books and crayons or books, a personalized plate, or some summer clothing?

Or if your kiddo has a birthday in the cold winter months, splurge and get them a bounce house 😜

This post is not sponsored by Target or Walmart.
I just typically shop at these stores and find great deals for all occasions :)

What are you putting in your kiddos Easter Baskets?

The Friday Faves #15

Friday, April 12, 2019

Eek! It's Friday!
So happy to have some time to relax a bit this weekend!
We have had two soccer practices and a game this week, so I am ready for a free weekend.
Let's back up and recap some of my favorites from this past week.

The weather was so nice on Saturday!
Perfect for X's soccer game.
I love getting to watch this kid doing things he enjoys.
With that said, I was happy that he spoke up at halftime and mentioned he didn't want to be goalie anymore ;)

While X is good at goalie, I so enjoy watching him do his thing up and down the field :)

We celebrated the big 9-0 win with a late lunch with my dad and step mom.
X stole most of this giant pretzel for himself, but it was well deserved :)

When I was walking through Kroger this weekend I noticed these super cute t-shirt and tank dresses.
They range from $14-16.
Such a steal! And perfect for Spring and Summer weather!

And these floral dresses had me in complete flashback mode to my middle school days!
And they were all less than $20 a piece!
If you haven't checked out the cute pieces Kroger has to offer, what are you waiting for?

We just recently booked our summer vacation, so I had all the low country thoughts running through me head.

Sunday evening I threw together a Low Country Boil and it now has me counting down the days until we get to relax by the water down south!

On Monday I shared 3 ways to style this amazing camo skirt!
You aren't going to believe one of them!
Head here to check them all out :)

A few of the parents were able to get some of our boys together for an extra practice this week.
We were "playing" adults vs. kids and they decided they needed to game plan.
It was so stinkin' cute!

Wednesday was all about the Kitchen pantry!
I shared our previous pantries, and some ideas I have for our new pantry we are building.
I would love to hear any suggestions, tips, etc. you may have!

Yesterday I shared some scary before images 😉 of our home.
Head here to check them out and see a sneak peek of what it currently looks like.

I was dying when I saw this tee on Instagram this week! 🤣🤣

Eek!
And we are super excited to be going to see the The Dude Perfect tour in the summer!!

And that is it my friends!
What are some of your favorite moments from this past week?
Any big weekend plans?

Thanks as always for stopping by today!

Linking up with Andrea, Narci & Erika!
