Monday, Monday...la, la...la, la, la.
Sorry if you are now singing that in your head too ;)
For those of you who don't even know what I am talking about, let's move on to...

1. Who is your oldest friend/how did you meet?

I "met" Marie basically at birth.
Her family is practically family.
Like - We were the only non-family members every year at their family Christmas.
We grew up together, went camping together,
to the Cleveland Browns games with our dads,
to school, etc.

2. Tell us about your circle of support. Who are your people?
I'm kind of the like the guy on Meet the Parents...my circle of trust is pretty small.
Mic, my parents, and my brother.

3. How did you meet your partner?
Mic and I met in the Cleveland area while I was working at Mercedes Benz and he was working at Infiniti.
The dealerships were connected so you would cross back and forth between the two.
We will celebrate being together for 18 years on April 19th and 13 years of marriage in October.

Us at at 4th of July party in 2001....and now....

We haven't changed a bit! ;) lol!
You can read the full story here :)

4. How is Valentine's Day celebrated in your home?
We sometimes give each other a card. lol!
I do make chocolate covered strawberries every year for a special dessert.

In our dating years we would give each other a card and go out to dinner.

5. What is your love language?
I had an idea what it was, but I just took the quiz here to get a better idea.
It isn't surprising at all!
It's a tie between Receiving Gifts, Quality Time and Words of Affirmation.
Absolutely true!
I am not materialistic...I just prefer doing things/going places with the ones I love over hugs and stuff. lol!
Also, I put so much time and thought into what I give people that is matters a lot to me when someone does the same.

6. Do you prefer receiving flowers or chocolates?
Neither.
I prefer going somewhere (see above).
I have never been a flower person, and I can take or leave chocolate and candy.
Like I said, I make the strawberries.
I would much rather go do something.
For example... this year I have concert tickets to see Kane Brown the weekend after Valentine's Day.
So Mic and I are just planning on going to dinner and enjoying the evening just the two of us :)

7. What is the most meaningful gift you have ever received or have given?
Umm, I have no idea!
Valentine's Day has always been more of a card and dinner type of thing.
When I was a kid my mom would always get us candy or bake us a cake or cupcakes.
I do remember receiving a GIANT teddy bear from a guy I liked in high school.
I was SO EMBARRASSED!!!!

Like this one above!
Can you imagine having to carry that thing around school all day because it doesn't fit in your locker?

Now I want to hear your answers!

Friday Favorites | All The Love

Linking up with Andrea, Narci & Erika for...

On Monday I recapped our fun weekend and mentioned a new restaurant.
We had my very favorite creme brulee' and more!

Tuesday was Valentine's Day, so I joined Andrea for Show & Tell and spoke a little bit about my two favorite loves :)

That evening Mic and I surprised X with one of his favorite spots for dinner...Cracker Barrel :)
We enjoyed our favorite pancakes and sweet tea,
and then came home and enjoyed the sweets I made :)
Chocolate covered strawberries are my favorite!!!!

If you are local, make sure you check out my giveaway from Wednesday's post!

I still haven't made it all the way through watching the Grammy's, but these were my two favorite performances so far!

Did you watch?
What were your thoughts on Beyonce?
#sorrynotsorry but I am not a fan of her :/

I saw this on my favorite social media outlet and couldn't help but laugh.
This is so true in Ohio!

While some of you may find this hard to believe, one of my favorite moments of the week was signing X up for Kindergarten!!!
He absolutely adores school, his friends, his teachers, etc. and I adore watching him learn and grow!
We are both super excited to start at a new school in the Fall!
Question: Did your kiddos have to go through a Kindergarten screening?
We will be on vacation at that time, and there are no make up days!
Strange!
They told me he would just be accessed when the school year starts :/
Doesn't that seem weird?
I also signed him up for Safety Town!
Do you have this in your town?
I loved it as a kid, and I am sure it will be X's favorite summer activity since it involves police and firemen :)

I announced the other day that I am now officially selling Rodan & Fields.
Be on the lookout this weekend on Instagram (xtremelyv) for some sales and/or incentives on my favorite products!
If you are interested in learning more about the products please don't hesitate to shoot me an email at leota6@gmail.com :)
I would be glad to fill you in on my incentives before I post them ;)

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Friday Favorites | Valentines

Linking up with Andrea, Narci & Erika for...

On Monday I recapped a super fun weekend with friends :)
It also included my favorite cupcakes from Kroger!
Yes, I said Kroger!
They are SO GOOD! And cheap!

X and I had to run a few errands and he came across this helmet in Ollie's.
Seriously?
In Ohio, or at least the Cincinnati area Cincinnati Bearcats and Xavier Musketeers don't mix.
#hellocrosstownshootout
He's such a trendsetter ;)

We of course had fun with X's favorite app this week!
And his favorite filter is back!

I see this image all the time, but this weekend it definitely spoke to me more than others.

But my favorite Instagram image/quote/whatever you want to call it of the week is this one...
I may have laughed out loud when I first read it :)

On Wednesday I linked up for Workin' It Wednesday and talked about how Mic and I work at our marriage.
One of my favorite things that works for us is definitely not something most of our friends would ever do!

Thursday night we worked on X's valentines for his class and teacher.
#workingmom
Valentines are tricky when you can't attach food or candy of any kind.
But we made it work :)

Here are X's valentines from previous years...

2016 - Disney Puzzles were perfect for 3-4 year old preschoolers

2015 - 3 years old - X was at daycare so food/snacks were allowed :)

2014 - 2 years old - We had fun with Hot Wheels and Cars fruit snacks!

2013 - 1 year old - For X's first Valentine exchange we kept things simple and shared one of his favorite snacks at the time.

Fast foward to this year...
X was writing out his own valentines. SO CUTE!!!!!
Definitely my top favorite moment of the week :)

And here is our finished valentines for 2017!
I used this printable I found on Pinterest and just picked up some glow sticks/straws in the dollar section at Kroger.
Not exactly how I envisioned, but they are still pretty cute :)

And one year I made this for Mic :)

And that has been our week!
Looking forward to a date night with Mic on Saturday evening.
We are headed north to go out to dinner and then to the Easton Corbin concert :)

What are you doing this weekend?
Do your kids have a Valentine's Day party today?
If so, what kind of valentines did they make/bring to school?
I would love to see them in the comments below!

Happy Weekend Friends!
Leaving you with a song I have had on repeat all week
New favorite for sure :)

All The Heart Eyes

Monday, February 15, 2016

Hey party people!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend with your loved ones celebrating Valentine's Day :)

I had high hopes this year of making super cute Lego valentines for X to give to his classmates,
but I couldn't find what I was looking for so we switched things up last minute.
At X's preschool you are not allowed to give any food or candy items,
so I was on a mission to find Lego's that I could give to the 6 littles in his class with some printable valentines I found.
Well, finding mini bags of Lego's was not meant to be for me.
So I swung through Dollar Tree and came up with these...

Each child received a pre-printed Mickey Valentine card attached to a Mickey or Minnie puzzle.
X loves puzzles these days, so it worked out perfect!
It seriously took me 5 minutes to put together, and about $6!
Done!
We also gave his teacher a card and a little candle :)

Friday morning this guy was super excited for his school party that day!

When I was walking out of the school they had a quartet of gentlemen there to sing to the kids :)
I wish I could have stayed to see their little faces!
X later said it was awesome :)

We finished our snowy Friday evening with pizza at home.

Saturday morning X woke up all smiles and starting making shadow puppets :)

Excuse the mess behind him,
but I couldn't resist taking his picture in his Batman outfit my brother gave him for Christmas :)
He was also super excited about his new big boy booster seat.

X headed off to my in-laws house,
and Mic and I enjoyed some TV before heading to our favorite spot for an early Valentine's meal :)
 Sushi and Hibachi = YUM!!!

We also picked up some super yummy Apple Hill donuts and a new Lego set for X for his Valentine's gift on Sunday.

Sunday was full of errands, laundry, naps, and playing more Lego's.

It was a great weekend with my valentines :)

How was your weekend?

Oh, did any of you watch the NBA Slam Dunk Contest on Saturday night?
WOW!
We thought Aaron Gordon should have won it :)
But both guys were entertaining and have truly brought the dunk contest back!
