Stranded with....Christmas Movies

Today is all about Christmas Movies!

They are simply the best!

I could watch these movies below all day, every day if I had the time!

A Christmas Story has been my all time favorite Christmas movie for most of my life.

They filmed it in Cleveland, Ohio :)

I grew up going to many of the same places they feature in the movie :)

If it wasn't for that movie above, The Grinch with Jim Carrey would take top honors.
Oh, how I love this movie!
I have Grinch ornaments, t-shirts, pajama pants, the movie (of course), coffee mugs, etc.

Four Christmases rounds out my top 3 :)
Anyone who has divorced parents, is married, has a significant other, or a child can relate to this movie in my opinion.
Or at least I do, because we seriously have FOUR Christmases every year!
Besides relating to it, I absolutely love Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon in pretty much any movie they are in.

Honorable Mention

We started watching Arthur Christmas last year with X just by chance and we all love it!
We watch it multiple times throughout the holidays :)

Another Vince Vaughn movie because, well, Vince Vaughn.
Plus, I truly enjoy this movie :)

And last, but certainly not least....

Is anyone else a sucker for The Brady Bunch?
I grew up watching the reruns of the TV show and always watched the movies.
When Marcia and Jan got married, etc.
This one is my favorite because I still picture this scene and love this particular song since the very first time I saw Mrs. Brady sing it :)

Stranded With...Outerwear!

Today's Stranded topic is...Outerwear!

Living in Ohio outerwear is important!

The winter months can be rough!

I will need a nice warm coat!

And one with a hood is always good :)

I might need to add this one to my Wish List this year!

I can't resist things with reindeer print! Or pom poms for that matter!

I think I need to order them ASAP!!!!

And I will take this red hat and infinity scarf too!

Since I already have boots with me, I felt I could leave those out this time ;)

Stranded with...Halloween Candy

Today is all about the Halloween candy you can't live without!
Now I am not a huge candy fan, but if I ever received the following in my trick-or-treat bag I did keep them all to myself! lol!

Hands down my favorite Halloween candy is Tootsie Rolls!

 And I am not talking about those weird flavored ones!
The originals are the best!
I used to put them in the freezer sometimes too to make them more of a hard candy.


So it should be no surprise that my next favorite would be Chocolate Tootsie Pops!

Funny thing is, I am not that big of a chocolate fan.

But boy do I love these!

My last favorite would have to be Dubble Bubble gum.

This gum only seems to "last" for a short time, but it was oh so good as a kid!


Now I never received these while trick-or-treating, but I had to mention them...

Is is just me, or do the holiday versions of most foods just seem to be better?
I don't really care for Oreo cookies normally, but when the Halloween or Christmas ones come out I have to buy them!
And eat them! lol!

The topic today is Movies!

I have said this a time or two on here before, but I am not really a movie person.
I have a hard time sitting down and watching a movie since I sit ALL DAY LONG at work.
I do sit down to watch TV shows, but typically I am watching something that I recorded on the DVR so I can skip commercials and speed up the whole process. lol!

I used to like watching movies years ago, and that is probably why most of my favorites are from back then!
So here are the ones that I always find myself turning on, even if it is just for background noise, every time I see they are on TV :)

I mean, who doesn't love this movie? Or Reese?

It is the perfect amount of funny, romance, etc. to me.
And it would be great to daydream while I am sitting on that deserted island!

I pretty much love any movie Vince Vaughn is in as well, but Couples Retreat is my favorite!

And I am kind of a sucker for Mila Kunis movies as well!
Any of these would be great to have on hand :)

It doesn't hurt when JT is in it too ;)

I gotta have a oldie, but goodie in there too!
I wore out my VHS copy of Can't Buy Me Love as a kid I watched it so much!
Anyone else daydream of driving around in Cindy's car?

And if I wasn't watching that, I had Adventures In Babysitting on replay!
I am wondering now if all those years of watching this movie had something to do with why I never would babysit for anyone. Hmmm? lol!

So yes, that was technically more than three.
Pick any combination of those movies and I will be a happy camper :)

Stranded With...Footwear

Because yesterday was #NationalSmoresDay, I am linking up a day late with these lovely ladies :)

Today we are Stranded With...Footwear.

Since I never seem to leave home for an extended period of time without them, my Converse are high on my list.

They go with everything :)

My next go-to shoe is actually a boot.

A rain boot to be exact.

My Hunter boots are amazing!

When I first picked them up I was nervous about the price tag and if I would really wear them that much.

These boots work for rain or snow (with boot socks) for me.

My last shoe is a toss up.

I love flip flops, but I also love a good gym shoe.

Really like these!

Problem for me is that I don't really have either one of those in my closet.

Yes, I have a ton of flip flops (mainly from Old Navy) but they are the greatest when you are doing a lot of walking.

And my gym shoes are now several years old.

I need new ones for sure!

What are you favorite flip flops or gym shoe brands?

And what are your thoughts on Sketchers?

I want to pick up a pair of Go Walks but I can't decide on the style or color :(

Stranded...With Celebrities, OH MY!

Today's topic is right up my ally!
Three famous people I would have with me on a deserted island.
Eek!
How do I narrow it down to just 3?!?!
Some how I did, but I as I continue to type I keep rethinking it.
I mean, because this is totally serious..and of course this deserted island thing is going to happen right? ;)

1. Justin Timberlake

 This one is a no brainer people!
If I had to pick only one person, it would be him too.

This guy is definitely eye candy for while I am on the island, but he also provides so much more!

The entertainment factor is huge!

His dancing, his singing, his love of sports, his goofy personality = Perfect person to be deserted with :)

2. Jimmy Fallon

In some ways, I feel like Justin & Jimmy go hand and hand with each other.

I can only imagine the fun and laughs we would share on that island!

3. Tiffani Thiessen

This one may or may not come as a shock to some of you.

I have always loved Tiffani!

From Saved by the Bell, to Beverly Hills 90210, to her cooking show.

She is always G-R-E-A-T! 

Couldn't resist ;)

She just seems so laid back, down to earth - exactly what I like and how I am.

Oh, and she knows a thing or two about cooking too!

She would definitely be preparing all our meals and adult beverages :)

Now I couldn't leave you without some Honorable Mention folks!

Umm, hello eye candy!!!!!

Oh, and we could totally talk about Friday Night Lights too ;)

Yes, they are on my list together.
I love them!
They are so chill, but seem so fun too!
I think we would talk about kids, sports, etc.

I mean, who doesn't want to hang out with Reese?

Cindy Crawford

Let's be real, she is STILL drop dead gorgeous!
As a little girl I wanted to be just like her.
I love how beautifully she has aged, how wonderful her kids seem, and how solid her marriage appears.
I would want to know all her secrets!
I would be in fangirl heaven for sure :)
