Every year it's the same thing...
set goals/resolutions/etc.
Keep or complete about 1/4 of those.
Keep or complete about 1/4 of those.
This year I am changing it up.
I am going with a word and motto.
If you watched my Instastories over the last weeks I decided that my motto for 2019 is #AllGoodDays
I even have a super cozy sweatshirt to help me keep that in mind!
Following along with that my word of the year is JOY :)
I am tired of the negative things.
Will I tick some people off with it, of course I will.
If it does....they probably aren't someone I want around me in the first place.
Does that mean I won't have some tough days in my future?
No way!
It just means I am going to do my very best to find something good and joyful in every day.
For example...we got a ton of snow this weekend.
Like 6-10 inches or more.
They declared it a Level 2 and advised you to stay off the roads.
Businesses closed early.
We were basically forced to stay at home.
If you know me at all, that is my worst nightmare.
I must leave the house at least once a day to feel sane.
It sounds like it was shaping up to be a completely horrible weekend.
But it wasn't because I kept those goals in mind!
I got to sleep in longer.
I was able to get a longer workout in each day.
I finished reading a book (that's a story for another day)!
I was able to take my time meal planning for the week.
All things that made the days better.
While everyone else is purging their homes for the new year, I am purging my mind and life.
And so far, it feels amazing!
I would love to hear what your goals, resolutions, words or motto is for 2019.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Wishing you all a 2019 filled with Joy!

I love your word and your motto. In all you do, you can find the positive, ask yourself what things bring you joy and focus on those. We got less snow than predicted and I was sad, lol. Hope you have a super sweet Monday!
ReplyDeleteThanks sweet friend! Yes!
DeleteI think we got even more snow than we were supposed to! It is crazy! And it is SO heavy! But on the positive side....it's a good workout clearing off the cars! 😉
That's a great way to approach each day because if you look hard enough you will find joy in unexpected circumstances!

Thanks Kellyann! I'm sure some days will be harder than others, but I'm a work in progress 😊
DeleteAll Good Days. I like that.

DeletePurging your mind - I could get behind that! It's true, so many (me included!) are purging every nook and cranny of their house but my mind could definitely use a good purge! Good luck - I know without a doubt you'll succeed at finding JOY in every day!
ReplyDeleteThank you! So far things are going well! Good luck to you as well!
DeleteI love this idea and I'm trying to do the same thing. Reframing things to see the good side. Honestly, a snow storm sounds kind of fun (as long as it only lasts a day or two)! Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteLol! These comments are just showing up and I see you are getting snow now!
DeleteI love your word of the year and motto too! It's definitely easy to let certain things get you down, so it's good you want to try and refocus your mind and remember the positives.
