As I sit here getting highly frustrated at my laptop/monitor situation, this particular topic came to mind.
5 Random Things About Me
1. I suck at fixing a computer problem
I am usually not too bad when it comes to figuring out what is wrong with my phone, the TV, the tablet, etc.
However, for some reason when it comes to my laptop and these gigantic monitors attached to it I am clueless :(
I have even tried checking YouTube for videos on how to fix things.
I still can't do it!
I did finally get one of my monitors to work, hence why I am now able to write this post.
I still have a second monitor just sitting right next to me all dead looking.
It does work for a brief moment here and there, but otherwise just stares at me driving me nuts!
2. I can't eat in public by myself
I don't mind going to the grocery store, mall, wherever by myself.
But please, please, please don't make me go to a food court or restaurant alone!
I fumble through my phone, purse, etc. trying to look like sitting by myself doesn't totally drive me crazy.
But instead I probably look like a weirdo.
I even eat my food in record speed!
I swear I could enter one of those eating contests it is that fast when I am alone.
3. I have zero patience
This probably is the reason why for #1 and #2!
I don't like to wait. Period.
I DVR everything just so I don't have to watch commercials.
I don't like to watch movies because they take to long.
I wear a hat to the grocery store, and hope I don't see anyone I know so I can get in and out as quickly as possible.
4. I bite my nails
When I have nail polish I do really well, and my nails never seem to bother me.
But as soon as I take the polish off I can't control myself.
If I need my nails too look nice for something I have to keep polish on them 24/7.
There is no letting my nails breathe.
For some reason I can't handle nail files or clippers on my finger nails, so I bite them the moment they get too long for me.
And too long for me is anything past the tip of my finger without polish on it.
5. I wash my hands a lot
This is something that was passed down to me.
My mom is the Queen of washing her hands and using hand sanitizer!
I mean, to the point I swear her skin is coming off!
While I am not nearly that bad, I do wash my hands more than the average person.
For example, Mic and I were rearranging some things in the basement a few weeks ago.
We were only down there for about 2 hours.
Nothing was terribly dirty, but I seriously washed my hands a minimum of 10 times!
The moment I feel something on my hands, they look dirty, or my nose or eyes get itchy I must wash them.
Because of this, I go through a TON of hand lotion.

I'm with you on 3 and 4...the restaurant thing I have been working on and have come to really enjoy being alone with my book at a resto.
ReplyDeletePatience....oh goodness if I could just buy some!! I've just now gotten to the point I don't mind eating alone...and I still don't like it all the time.
ReplyDeleteI have a thin line with patience too! I recognize this about myself and I'm trying to work on cooling it down and taking deep breaths. Usually it's something not worth getting in a tussle about anyway.
ReplyDeleteOH I have no patience for computers and since I have a hubby in computers, I don't even try any more...like I just call him downstairs if anything goes wrong...I mean I look at a computer and it breaks!
ReplyDeleteI can't do #2 either.....I'm 35 and never ate a meal alone..........if I'm by myself its drive thru and sit in the car or take-out and go home. I keep telling myself I'm going to try it but I can't make myself do it!
ReplyDeleteI wash my hands a lot too- Jared always thinks its funny how often I'll rinse/wash them off while cooking something. He's like, they're just going to get dirty again!!
ReplyDeleteSo I feel your pain on the computer thing--but mine is really anything technology related. I couldn't get my printer to work for the last 3 weeks. I finally unplugged it (yes, duh) and it started working. Really?!?
ReplyDeleteI can't stand nail files either. For some reason, the sensation makes me want to crawl up a wall. My nerves can't take it.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a computer tech person but, luckily, my husband is a jack of all trades and can fix darn near anything.
