Linking up my favorites from this past week with these lovely ladies.
Karli/Amy
We enjoyed a fun Mother's Day weekend and X showered me with these cuter than cute gifts :)
Hand print art is always a favorite :)
The last few nights my favorite little guy has fallen asleep in my arms just like this...
He sure knows how to melt my heart! This low calorie snack is a new favorite in our house!
Check out my post about it to win some for your family to try.
#simplywell
It was SO COLD on Wednesday, so I was seriously dreading X's T-Ball game that night :(
It is fun, a little frustrating, but mainly hilarious watching these little kiddos play.
X had a blast doing one of his favorite things - running bases.
All while rockin' my brother's favorite number 23!
We couldn't leave the fields without getting some swing and slide time in :)
X would yell down from the top of the slide "I'm in a cupcake mommy!".
The imagination of little kids is definitely a favorite in my book!
I get to see a lot of my favorite people this weekend because my little brother is getting married!
Can't wait!
And once we get through this weekend my mind will be completely focused on vacation!!!!
And speaking of vacation, I am also joining the fab ladies listed below to talk about our summer travel plans and recs.
First up, Savannah Georgia
From Forsyth Park, to the beautiful squares, to River Street and more,
Savannah, Georgia has something for everyone!
Including a beach less than 30 minutes away at Tybee Island!
Mic and I feel head over heels in love with Savannah when we went there for our honeymoon 10 years ago.
We went back for a short visit about 5 years ago, and I am so excited that it is our family vacation destination for this summer!
I highly recommend the area for families, couples, girl's weekends, etc.
Looking forward to soaking up the sun and playing with X in the waves during the day,
and then enjoying some of our favorite restaurants (Molly MacPherson's, The Crab Shack) for dinner at night :)
Another great family getaway is Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Whether you choose to stay in the north side near Little River, the heart of it all in Myrtle, or down in Murrell's Inlet, you will love all that the area has to offer!
Mic and I both grew up going to Myrtle Beach as kids, and we have gone back quite a few times together with each of our parents, and then again last year with friends.
It is a place that holds lots of great memories for each of us :)
9 month old baby X at the beach for the first time :)
This is the first stop my family makes every year we or they go!
Read about last year's trip here and here.
My final rec for all you is very close to home for me.
Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio!
These photos just don't do this place justice!
The most amazing roller coasters, a water park, a kiddy play and coaster area, and it is located on the shores of Lake Erie!
It is one of my favorite summer destinations!
I grew up about 30 east of here so CP will always be a favorite, but I am sure it will quickly become of favorite of yours once you visit!
What are your favorite vacation destinations?
Do you pick family friendly places or adults only resorts?
Any recs for me?
Make sure to check out all the ladies listed below for their travel picks for this summer as well!
Oh gosh - those photos of Savannah make me want to go there so badly. While my kids would love to visit Cedar Point - Savannah looks like a photographers heaven:)
ReplyDeleteI love his cupcake comparison!! ;) Smart little guy right there!! And YES to all these places- nothing like a beach-y town and Savannah is somewhere I really wanna get back to again- I haven't been there since I was a kid!

Savannah is on my must do list..as well at the Carolinas. We drove through once on the way to Miami and I remember being struck by how green it was. Thanks for linking up!

ReplyDeleteWe used to go to Myrtle Beach every summer when I was growing up. So fun!
ReplyDeleteWe visit Ohio regularly to see my husband's family but have never made it to Sandusky. Guess we need to suck it up and go to Ohio in the summer in order to visit the amusement park. Have never been to Myrtle Beach but it looks amazing and so does Savannah. Real southern charm. Have a wonderful summer.
