The Weekend Haps

Good morning friends!

We had a pretty full weekend so I decided to do a little recap today.

Due to all the rain and high winds last week, Trick-or-Treat was moved to Saturday.

But the school costume parade and classroom parties went on as scheduled :)

Preschool through third grade sat and cheered on all of the kids as they marched across the stage to showoff their costumes.

The kiddos headed back to their classrooms for treats and games :)

I love my little Skull Trooper (Fortnite) :)

They ate all the yummy treats, played a fun game, snapped a couple pics with friends and then it was over.

I think all the kids had a great time!

On our way out of the school we saw these and I had to snap of pic of what X wrote! lol!

He is just slightly obsessed with Fortnite :/

On Saturday we celebrated one of our favorites turning 8 years old with a Minecraft party!

This cake was super yummy!

The kids ate, played outside, went crazy over the presents, and played this silly Oreo game :)

As you can see the dad's got into it as well! lol!

The party ended and we quickly switched gears into costumes for Trick-or-Treat!

These kids didn't care that it was cold and kind of rainy.

They had a blast running from house to house getting treats :)

As soon as it was over we changed our clothes again and headed north to see the high school boys soccer team play for the Regional Championship.

They WON!!!!!

They are now headed to the state semi-final game on Wednesday!

Go LEX!!!!

Sunday is grocery shopping day!

X came with me, so we checked out the toy and Christmas sections before getting our groceries.

I now had a few ideas for his upcoming birthday and Christmas ;)

And I totally caught this guy dancing around to the Christmas music while we were in the holiday section :)

And that was our weekend!

Weekend Recap Wednesday

Miss me?

I have been averaging 2-3 blogging days a week this summer, and you know what?

I am totally OK with that!

Sometimes you need to take a break and recharge :)

I did actually post over the weekend some more favorites from the #NSALE.

Now let's back up and recap our water filled weekend!

We joined some friends on Friday for an afternoon at a local splash pad and park.

It was small, but that meant there wasn't a lot of people :)

While the splash pad was nice to cool off, all the kiddos really enjoyed playing on the playground more than anything!

We grabbed some ice cream before heading home to rest for a bit.

Then we were off to our end of the season T-ball party!

The kids ran around, swam for a bit, and then we gave them their trophies and photo books before calling it a night.

We grabbed a late dinner at Cracker Barrel and then called it a day!

Have you heard of the largest rubber duck before?

It may sound strange, but my husband has followed it for years!

I am talking before X was even born!

It has been all over the world.

So, when I saw that it was going to be an hour and a half away I knew we had to go!

We headed up to Lake Erie for a late lunch/early dinner --- Lake Erie Perch is the best!

And then it was time to see the 65 foot tall rubber duck!!

Of course we had to pick up a couple souvenirs before heading back home ;)

I can't believe I am about to admit this, but on Sunday morning I watched soccer on TV :/

I actually watched the entire game!!!

It was interesting to learn a little more about the game, but I still don't care for it.

Right before the game I saw this and I couldn't help but laugh!

And just like that it was Sunday night and we were prepping for a week of swim lessons, Nordstrom package arrivals, and fun with friends!

Sports Family

All my days are running together now that I am working from home!

And I feel like I am much busier than I was when I was at the office all day.

Hence why all my posts aren't going live until mid-afternoon these days :)

Anyways, let's get on with the recap of our weekend!

After going to Barre class at 8am Saturday morning it was time for T-ball!

My brother was able to make it down for the game...and thankfully he took a few pictures of X for me :)

After the game we headed back to clean up before grabbing some lunch.

While we were there we gave my niece her birthday gifts.

X and Lily had so much playing with her new Minnie Mouse Headquarters together :)

Grandpa and his two grand kids :)

 I was exhausted by Saturday evening.

So tired I slept with my contacts in the entire night :(

But we woke up and it was Father's Day!

And Mic X got his Father's Day wish of playing video games right after waking up! ;)

 After a few games, X and I got ready and headed north to spend Father's Day with my dad.

My husband is one of those people who likes to have the day to himself :/

We made a pit stop at Kroger and the Good Year Blimp was right above us :)

 It was ridiculously hot outside!

But we didn't let it stop us from playing catch, hitting, playing some cornhole, and cooking out :)

And despite the weird shadows (across my face, arms, etc.) on the next picture, I had to post it.

I absolutely love these guys!

 And just like that the weekend was over and we were back at home getting ready for a new week!
