That's right my friends, it is #NationalSmoresDay
It makes my heart happy just typing that!

Quick Fact About Me - I am not a big chocolate fan, but I love S'mores!

These things are a crowd pleaser for sure!
I never seem to have any leftovers -- which is fine with me :)
I love making something that everyone loves!

Here is what you need:
8" square baking dish (I use the 9" X"11" dish)
Foil
2 1/2 cups of mini marshmallows
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tube of refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough (I buy the largest tube possible since I use a bigger dish)
1 cup of pretzels
Cooking spray

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350*
Line your baking dish with foil and thoroughly coat with cooking spray.

Gently press the cookie dough into the bottom of the dish with your fingers, creating an even layer.
Bake for 18 minutes or until the center is set.

Remove the pan from the oven and add the marshmallows, pretzels, and chocolate chips.

TIP: I lay the square pretzels out about five in each row.
It means each bar has at least one pretzel on it :)

Place the dish back into the oven at 350* for 5 minutes.
To get the toasted marshmallow look, turn the broiler on low for a few minutes.
WATCH CAREFULLY!
Those marshmallows will burn quickly!!!!

Remove the pan from the oven and let completely cool before cutting (about 30 minutes).
TIP: Spray your knife with cooking spray before cutting :)

Cut into squares and Enjoy!
Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

If you haven't had your S'more fill yet, try out this S'mores Cocktail!

   What you need:

  • 2 jiggers vodka
  • 2 jiggers Chocolate Liqueur
  • 2-4 jiggers half and half (depends on how strong you want them to be!)
  • ¼ cup marshmallow creme
  • ¼ cup milk chocolate chips
  • 2 graham crackers, crushed
Instructions
  1. Melt marshmallow creme and chocolate chips in a shallow bowl for 1 minute on half power in microwave bowl or over warm water.
  2. Roll outside of glass rim in marshmallow/chocolate chip mixture and then dip into crushed graham crackers. Put in refrigerator to cool.
  3. Fill cocktail shaker or pitcher with 2 cups of ice.
  4. Pour vodka, chocolate liqueur and half and half over ice. Shake well. Pour into cooled, rimmed glass.
  5. Spear marshmallows with toothpicks or long skewer; toast marshmallows over flame and garnish cocktail.
