Today the topic is Plaid!

Oh boy do I love plaid!
I actually wrote never finished a post about being Mad for Plaid back in the Fall, and now I'm kicking myself for not having it to reference.
So.......I guess I am starting fresh.
That's what everyone wants anyway right?

So plaid in my world typically means a flannel shirt.
On weekends during the Fall/Winter you will probably find me wearing one of my flannels thrown over a graphic tee or tank, and some sort of hat.
Starbucks in hand is optional.

 I also pair it with my go-to distressed jeans and some boots.
Cowboy, hunter, snow, etc.

I received this plaid cardigan from my December Stitch Fix box and absolutely love it!

The colors are perfect!

And of course it goes well with my other go-to pieces :)

During the Spring/Summer months I turn to another form of plaid...gingham.

I can't lie, I started linking up with the lovely ladies at The Blended Blog for these weekly style posts all because of this prompt.

Graphic tees are just a little piece of heaven in my book.
I even wrote a post about my love for them back in October.
I basically live in them when I am not at work.
I wear them to bed, I wear them when cleaning, I wear them to sporting events, and more!
As far as styling them goes, I pretty much let the graphic take over my look.
I have paired them with blazers, hoodies, etc.
But my favorite way to wear them is with jeans and my converse :)

Honestly, I didn't know what to call this post.

Today the theme is:

Cardi - Tee - Jeans - Statement Necklace

Now how was I supposed to get all those items in the blog title?

So I went with Simplicity :)

Makes sense to me since this combo is simple, yet pulled together.

I'm not really a statement necklace kind of girl, so this is about as good as it gets :/

 Gray cardigan (Similar)- White tee (Similar)- Pearl necklace (Similar) - Jeans (Same brand)- Converse

Simple right?
Yes, I know I could add a colored necklace to jazz it up a bit...but this look is more me :)
And that is what matters most right? :)

When I read the prompt for today I debated whether or not I was going to participate.

The theme for today is...

Spring Sweater - Jeans - Flats

That is definitely not a combo I wear.

But, I figured why not step out of my comfort zone and give it a try!

Once I looked through my closet I realized I only had one sweater that would be considered Spring-like.

I actually picked it up during the very first Style Challenge, so it is 2-3 years old (similar).

I paired it with my boyfriend cropped jeans (similar) and my leopard flats (similar).

But because the outfit felt like it should have a more sporty vibe, I quickly switched out the flats for my white converse.
Hey, they are still "flats" right?

Much more me :)

On most days I wear dress pants to work that are black, gray, or brown.

But in the spring/summer and on the weekends I like to add some color!

Bright pants or shorts are such an easy way to add a little something something to my rather plain outfit.

See the examples below....

These green jeans from Old Navy (super old, similar) just add some fun to my fairly plain chambray shirt and cognac boots.

And my white tee and black leather jacket were just begging for some fun orange jeans (old, similar)!

And when I am really feeling confident I pull out my fun palazzo pants (exact, similar)!

These are seriously one of my very favorite pairs of pants to wear from Spring to Fall.

They are super comfy, forgiving, and easily go from work to evening :)

Like I said above, the brights tend to come out during the summer months for me.

I swear every year I buy another fun color to add to my collection :)

 These neon yellow shorts are from Target and go really well with tees or tanks.

Today the topic is...white pants!

I have a huge spot in my heart for white pants :)

They look so crisp and clean, so elegant, so summery and wintry (if those are actually words).

I just love them!

White jeans, dress pants, crops, shorts...I will wear them all!
I pair them with just about anything, but I do tend to lean towards bright colors and gingham or stripes :)
