Weekend Recap Wednesday

 Happy Monday Tuesday Wednesday!

I hope you all had a great weekend!

It is hard to believe it is already November 1st!

Pretty sure the next couple of months are going to fly by!

Our final weekend of October was all about friends & family!

We spent Thursday evening with some of our best friends taking the kiddos trick-or-treating, and munching on some yummy pizza and apple donuts!

 This house had the coolest set up by far!

A candy stand where they could pick from all kinds of full size items!

Friday morning was X's big Halloween party at school!

Did everything run absolutely perfect?

No.

But did any of those Kindergartners notice?

Nope! :)

At the treat station they munched on Monster donuts, fruit snacks, and Mummy Juice Boxes.

It was Make Your Own Monster at the craft station.

 They were rewarded with treat bags at the game station after they reached in each bucket to feel "witches teeth", "ghost poop", "brains", etc.

All the kiddos seemed to have a great time!

Half day kindergarten goes by quickly!

An hour long party goes by even faster!

They were cleaned up and ready to move on to the second part of their day!

We also got X's school pictures back on Friday.

Oh my goodness he looks so grown up!

Not sure about that goofy grin, but he still is the cutest kid I have ever seen ;)

 And yes, our love for camo is strong!

On Saturday we got together last minute with some friends to watch the Ohio State/Penn State game.

These boys cheered and cheered for the Buckeyes and it paid off!

One of these two was playing a bit too rough and hit their head on the wall.

The other one was consoling the hurt child.

You decide which is which ;)

I swear the grown men celebrated and danced more than the kiddos did after the big win!

Our favorite NFL team was playing in London on Sunday, so that meant an early start time.

Since the game started at 9:30am here, my dad and step mom came down for breakfast and to watch the game with us.

Thankfully our breakfast was good, because the Browns game sure wasn't :(

And just like that the weekend was over!

Friday Favorites | Happy Edition

If you're happy and you know it clap your hands! (clap, clap)
That seriously just popped into my head as I started typing and I thought, go with it!
Now that I got that out of the way, let's get to my Friday Favorites!

My new cuffs arrived from Farmgirl Paints this week and I absolutely love them!
I can't pick which one is my favorite!
Becky's shop is open until 5pm EST today (10/30) and then won't reopen until January!
So get over to Etsy and place your orders ASAP!

Speaking of a good life, this is my new nightly dessert and boy is it yummy!
I scooped a small portion of Greek yogurt into a container and threw it in the freezer.
Take it out a few hours later, add your favorite fruit (strawberries for me) and ENJOY!
So easy, so filling, and so healthy for you :)

And speaking of being healthy, I am happy to report that I have woke up early every morning this week and got my workout in at 6am.
While waking up early is definitely not a favorite thing to do, working out is a favorite!
And I am feeling better, have more energy, etc. after just a week!

Most of us in blog land are #MadForPlaid and I am definitely NOT an exception!
I walked into Old Navy to return something I ordered online and couldn't resist this lumber jack flannel!
Anything red plaid is a favorite for me!

 And I might have picked up another favorite item while at Old Navy as well ;)

Now that I am living in the country I figured I needed to get something with a deer on it.

Really, I have been wanting a deer tunic for awhile now but haven't found the right one or they sell out too darn quick!
So when I saw this tunic from Nobella Grace on Instagram I scooped it up!

I haven't seen anything like it in stores, or online, or for that great price!

And look at the length?

Perfect to rock with my very favorite leggings that Sheaffer told me I must have! ;)

Last night was trick-or-treat in our town and X was super pumped!
My little dinosaur was just the cutest!

The boys were having fun "Fixing" the house and pretending to be firemen :)

We had a great time hanging with friends, having dinner, enjoying our favorite apple donuts, and making memories :)
That's what life is all about right?

And that my friends has been the last week of October!
Looking forward to our rescheduled family photos and another Halloween party on Saturday.
As well as turning the clocks back Saturday night/Sunday morning.

Today we are talking about Halloween costumes!

As a kid I loved dressing up for Halloween.

Child of the 80's here was obsessed with being a punk rocker or Jem most years.

Unfortunately I have no photos of those days in my possession.

I typically wore my normal clothes, just mix and matched to look the part.

And then I always, always rocked one of these bad boys

I loved a good tinsel wig!!! lol!

This year we have been invited to a couple costume parties, but I have no idea what I am going to wear!

I think I am going to leave the 80's in the 80's, so suggestions are welcome :)

My little guy has been a penguin

Perry the Platypus

and a Ninja Turtle.

This year he will be strutting his cute stuff around as a dinosaur :)
