Friday Favorites Week #45 & #46

I'm back for good this time ;)

Linking up with Andrea and Erika for some favorites from the last couple of weeks.

First of all, Happy Friday the 13th!

My mom and I have always treated it as a good luck day and I think you should too! :)

We finished up the fall soccer season with two back to back weekends of soccer tournaments.

The boys have improved SO MUCH and really work well as a team now :)

It was really cold at all the games, but the second game on Saturday was a mud fest!

I think every single kid fell in the mud pit in the middle of the field at one point :/

The boys finished up their Saturday games just in time to go trick-or-treat.

X was lucky enough to tag along with some friends from soccer in their neighborhood since our evening was rescheduled (due to rain) right in the middle of our games :(

He had so much fun!

And then Sunday we were right back to the soccer fields to finish up the tournament.

House news...I am loving this view from my kitchen sink/island down into the family room and dining room space :)

And I started going through some things to move and pulled out my most favorite dishes!

I received these beauties two years ago and had packed them up when we moved out of the house.

The rest of them are a woodsy winter scene, but the deer are my absolute favorites :)

This kid was in need of a haircut and my girl Kasey worked her magic once again.

He (and I) loved it!

And now he wants his hair washed every single time he goes because it was so relaxing. lol!

It was my grandma's birthday last weekend so my mom brought her down for a quick visit and to see the house.

She had cake and such already, so we celebrated with some yummy apple donuts and coffee!

Speaking of coffee, I made sure to grab my favorite holiday drink at Starbucks on Sunday when I did my grocery shopping.

I saw this the other day and I couldn't stop laughing!

I used to love these strawberry candies as a kid, but this is correct....

I have no idea where they ever came from! lol!

This past week on #TheRealBuild we talked about paints and stains.

I have no idea why I am just finding out about Wood Wick candles!

I received this guy awhile ago and just came across when going through things (the joys of living in a cramped space while building - you discover all kinds of things tucked away).

It is SO GOOD!
I absolutely love the smell of firewood on a fire and this comes pretty close!

Good hair days are rare these days (I'm due for an appointment next week), so I had to document it!

And last but not least is my wooden Cleveland Browns décor.

My dad gave this to me last month and I finally set it outside the new house.

The light is solar and doesn't get much sun, so I was skeptical that it would work.

Look at that guy shining!

I love it!

GO BROWNS!!!!!

Friday Favorites Week #41

Happy Friday!!!!

Joining Andrea & Erika for another week of favorites :)

X has been going to an after school soccer program for the last couple of weeks and is absolutely loving it!

I showed up a little early on Friday and was able to see him training.

On Saturday evening we headed to Columbus to hangout with friends.

We haven't all been together since the beginning of the year!

It felt so good!

The kids played a little flag football, basketball, video games and more.

They all get along so well together :)

Sunday was good and bad.

My Cleveland Browns pulled off another win!!!

But then we had to go sit in the rain and cold for a miserable soccer game :(

X's sweet teacher showed her appreciation for the kiddos and the season and surprised them with some mini pumpkins :)

Speaking of mini pumpkins, don't forget to check out my Dinner in a Pumpkin recipe I reshared on Tuesday :)

Wednesday was our 14th wedding anniversary.

We haven't been able to celebrate yet due to our busy schedules, so hopefully we can this weekend.

Looking back at some of the photos from that day...it feels like it was so long ago and just yesterday at the same time!

We celebrated by watching X in his flag football game ;)

He did so well!

He ran the ball well, caught a pass, ran for a touchdown, and even intercepted the ball!

He later asked us if him playing well was a good anniversary gift.

The best!!!

At his soccer practice last night his coach sat them all down and read a poem to them.

It was so sweet!

House news...

See that area of new brick?

That opening has been an eye sore this whole time for me.

I was so happy to see it filled in!

Don't worry...all that brick is going to be black so it doesn't matter that it doesn't match :)

Shower glass was installed in X's bathroom.

Like every build, nothing goes perfectly.

They need to fix this door because it isn't wide enough :(

Thankfully, it was their mix up up not ours.

More flooring has been going down this week and I just fall more in love with it!

Pretty doors and pretty floors!!!

Don't mind the mess going on right now.

Or that bottle my husband had on the island ;)

And that my friends is it for this week!

We have the evening and day off tomorrow before all the soccer on Sunday!

Friday Favorites Week #40

Let's get right to the Friday Favorites!

Backing up to last Thursday evening for this favorite :)

Mic had his end of the season golf banquet, which meant X and I were on our own for dinner after soccer practice.

You didn't have to ask us twice what we wanted for dinner...Skyline Chili (Cincinnati style chili) is one of our favorites!

X had never tried cheesecake before, so when I saw they had pumpkin cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory I had to introduce him ;)

He couldn't imagine cheese and cake together, until he tasted it.

He was a fan of this one!

Friday night I had to run a few errands and came across this sign that is a new favorite!

And I finally tried the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew from Starbucks that everyone has been raving about.

Not gonna lie, I wasn't a fan.

It was so strong!!!!

I am a cream with a bit of coffee type of person.

I think I'll stick to my fall favorites - PSL and the Salted Caramel Mocha :)

Saturday morning X and I headed out to watch his old rec soccer team play, and then caught some of this friends in their game after.

He loved getting to go watch them :)

I loved getting to spend some time with my favorite guy :)

Sunday evening after the Browns win 🙌🙌, we had Dinner in a Pumpkin at my in-laws house.

Don't worry, I will reshare the recipe on Tuesday :)

I watched my favorite guy play in his first flag football game of the season on Wednesday evening.

It was cold and rainy, but the boys had a lot of fun!

And a fellow mom took some pics of her son with her nice camera and snapped a few of X too! :)

X started a new afterschool soccer program this week and it is his new favorite thing to do!

He was so ready for practice last night to show off some of the things he has learned this week :)
