Show & Tell | My Favorite Room

Do you pick your favorite room based on the amount of time you spend in that room, or lack of time you spend in there?

Is is a room where family and friends gather, or a spot for just you?

Over the almost nine years that we have lived in our house, we have updated a lot.

We went from a house straight out of 1984, to a home that I truly love.

A place where we have our family and friends over.

A place where X came home from the hospital.

A place we truly call our own.

With all that said, I have two favorite rooms in my house.
And I have actually talked about both of these rooms before.

First up is our dining room.

It is the very first room we updated after moving in, and I still love it to this day.

We have been focusing on having dinner in there every night to be together as a family, getting away from the TV, teaching X good manners, and to just enjoy the room.

It is painted my favorite colors, and has the dining room table, chairs, hutches that Mic and I had made in Amish country.

The second room on my list is our kitchen.

While the cabinets are the same original ones painted white, the rest of the space has been completely redone.

And it has taken awhile to do so!

From the large stainless steel sink to the gas range to the gorgeous counter top (picked out by Mic - good job!) to the pulls on the doors that give it just a bit of uniqueness (similar).

I love it!

I love making dinner in there, sitting at the counter talking with friends and family, etc.

I can also see into the family room to make sure X is behaving, and possibly catch up on a show while loading the dishwasher.

And the colors! That grayish-brown color on the walls is seriously one of my favorites!

Paired with the white cabinets and black counter tops and appliances it just has my heart!

If we ever move, I would love to take these two rooms with me!

Pinspired | Winter

I feel like for the last month I have worn the exact same thing!

With the temps so low, I find myself in the an outfit that consists of dress pants, button down, and sweater.

Oh, and don't forget the winter hat, coat, gloves, scarf, and boots!

I tried to get inspired by Pinterest this month, and found myself looking at the same outfits I was wearing!

While I love my Hunter's, I am crossing my fingers that Mother Nature is kind to Ohio in March and I am finally able to wear some different shoes outside.
