What's up April!

Linking up with Mel, Shay & Sheaffer for...

What We're Eating This Week...
Kaluska (cabbage & noodles) & Smoked Sausage
Nachos - which for me just means meat, lettuce and cheese ;)
Spaghetti and meatballs
And the weekend will be filled with a little of this and that ;)

What I'm Reminiscing About...
I have been sorting through a ton of X's old baby clothes and such to sell.
It takes me right back to moments that he wore each of those outfits or onesies :)
What a smiley, happy baby he was!
I actually posted what I have listed so far if anyone is interested :)

What I'm Loving...
Watching X play soccer.
It is crazy to say it since I really don't like soccer, but he is so good!
I don't brag on him often, but he is pretty rock star on the field :)

What We've Been Up To...
If we aren't at the soccer fields or working, we are at home packing and moving #allthethings

What I'm Dreading...
Little things, but nothing too bothersome

What I'm Working On...
My fitness! lol!
I have just about two months until I am supposed to hit the beach and I am so not swimsuit ready :(

What I'm Excited About...
While I am trying to not think about it since it is going to be a lengthy project, I can't help but be a little excited that the house is finally getting remodeled!!!

What I'm Watching/Reading...
Honestly I haven't been watching or reading anything lately.
But I am super pumped to watch the NFL Draft this weekend!

What I'm Listening To...
Is anyone else completely addicted to them like I am?
Who are your favorite accounts to follow/watch?

What I'm Wearing...
I picked up four $5 Universal Thread tees at Target and I am loving them!
I wore my white one with my new chambray pants from Old Navy, Vince Camuto dupe sandals, and my new straw bag for Easter.

And I threw on my mustard one with some skinny jeans and booties for a day of lunch and shopping with friends.

I have been pattern mixing as well this month.
My leopard earrings, camo jacket, and lace top all worked so well together for a day at the office.

And I can't leave out my new super soft Cleveland Indians sweatshirt!

What I'm Doing This Weekend...
Watching X play soccer,
moving, moving, moving,
and maybe fitting in a quick visit with a long distance friend.

What I'm Looking Forward To Next Month...
Fingers crossed the demo portion of our house will begin!

What Else Is New...
X has been having some weird symptoms recently so I am hoping the doctor can make sense of them this week.
Weird/excessive blinking, constant clearing of his throat, and a tick where his body kind of does a crunch while he does a cough/grunt.
Praying everything is OK.
We went to the doctor yesterday and he even had to have blood work done :(
Just waiting to hear the results at this point.

Guitars, Soccer Balls and Country Music

Read that title like the you are singing...
Guitars, Cadillacs, Hillbilly Music :)

Linking up with Erika, Narci & Andrea for...

Yeh for Friday!
I am ready for this weekend!
In fact my weekend technically started last night since I am off today!
Mic and I are tackling a lot of house things this weekend,
I am joining X for a field trip to the nature center this afternoon,
and then we are hoping to breakaway for a bit Saturday evening for some adult time :)

But before all that, let's get into some of my favorite (and a not so favorite) moments of the week!

It has been raining/snowing for the last week.
We had a super heavy rain on Sunday, but didn't think anything of it.
Mic and I were sitting in bed when we heard a thud.
Went downstairs and found that part of our ceiling had fallen down :(
I took this after we cleaned up most of the mess.
Just another reason why we desperately need to remodel/update our home.

X started Spring Soccer on Thursday night, but I didn't have my new phone to take any pictures.
He played so good and scored 3 goals!
And then he had another game on Saturday morning...that I forgot to take any pictures at as well :(
But he scored 2 more goals that day!

I did snap this pic of X with my dad and step mom after his game Saturday.
They just gave him his bag full of Cleveland Indians gear and told him he is part of the kids club!
He was pumped!
He loved it so much he wore that shirt to his celebrate his friend's birthday.

And he wore it and brought the bag full of goodies (minus the big head sign) for show and tell at school Thursday :)

My dad also brought me this sweatshirt I was eyeing on the GV Art & Design site :)
Go Indians!!!

I did finally remember to take some pictures on Monday night at X's game while we froze!!
Snow was literally falling as these 5 and 6 year old boys put on a show for us.
X was on fire despite the cold weather and scored another 3 goals!

I am not one to talk politics or anything like that, but when I saw this quote from Barbara Bush the other day after she passed away I couldn't help but share it.

This kid received a real guitar for Christmas a couple years ago, and is starting to take some interest in it.
He honestly has no idea what he is doing, but he sure looks cool! lol!

Instagram gave me a few more favorites this week :)

This is totally me :(

On the blog this week I shared my new love for Aldi's in my #AldiHaul post.

And I updated you all on my Skincare routine, and some new products I have tried out recently.

It took me 3 nights, but I finally finished watching the ACM Awards!
All the performances were so good, but a few of them really stood out to me :)
Carrie Underwood killed it with Cry Pretty,

and Kane Brown & Lauren Alaina were on fire!

Unfortunately, I couldn't find any good videos of the performances to share on here :(

And on that note I am calling it a week!
Hope you all had a good one and enjoy the weekend!
Thanks for stopping by :)

Skincare UPDATE!

Recently I shared some of the skincare products I have been using and thought I would post and update for you.
Here are all the products from No. 7 that I picked up to try.

Lift & Luminate Triple Action Eye Cream
Lift & Luminate Triple Action Anti-Ageing System
(Serum, Day cream, Night cream)
Beautiful Skin Age Defence Cleanser
Total Renewal Mircro-dermabrasion Exfoliator

I absolutely LOVE the Beautiful Skin cleanser!
I use it every day when I get home from work and it removes all of my makeup (even mascara).
Doesn't feel rough on my skin, doesn't leave my skin dry, and doesn't have an over powering scent!
The other item I am loving is the the Total Renewal exfoliator.
I use it a few times a week, and it leaves my skin super soft.
I thought the other products I tried kept my skin moisturized, but the smell is way too strong for me.
The day and night creams are nice and thick, but are a bit too thick for the warmer months in my opinion.
I would love to try out some of the other products No. 7 offers and see if they have the same scent or and make up.

I also received some sample from BeautyCounter recently that I tried out as well.

Charcoal Cleansing Bar
Countermatch Eye Rescue Cream
Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion
Nourishing Cream Cleanser

I love the scent, or lack of scent these products had.
The eye cream, lotion, and cleanser were all super lightweight too.
My only complaint was there wasn't a lot of the product to truly sample it for more than a few days :(
But I truly appreciate the samples I received from Elizabeth.

So what am I using currently?
I went back to using my Soothe & Redefine regimens from Rodan & Fields and like how my skin is reacting.
You know how sometimes your hair or whatever gets used to something and you need to change it up?
I think that is what happened with my skin.
I used R&F for about a year and half before testing out these new products.
Going back to what "worked" previously for me turned out to be a great decision so far :)

So here is exactly what I am using each day.
I use the Soothe Regimen in the mornings before I put my make up on for the day, along with the eye cream.
And in the evening I use the Redefine Regimen along with the eye cream above.

Every other night or two I use my AMP roller.
I do add the renewing serum to my nightly routine every night.

I have also used Lash Boost for almost a year and have loved my results!
I am almost out, so I decided to give this neuLash serum (currently on sale!!!) a try since I caught it on sale (and heard rave reviews).
I have only been using it for about a week, so I will get back to you on how it works.
If you are interested in giving any of the Rodan & Fields products a try, let me know.
I technically can sell them :)

Does your skin or hair or body get used to the products you use and make them not work as well?
I know that has happened with shampoo/conditioner and even vitamin/supplements for me in the past.

Have you tried any of the No.7 or BeautyCounter products?
Do you currently use Rodan & Fields products?
I would love to hear which ones you are loving and your bad experiences too!
