Disney Vacation Part 2

Thursday, June 1, 2017

Hey, Hey! I am back with part 2 of our Disney trip!
If you haven't read it yet, check out part 1 here :)

Day 5

We woke up Friday morning and hopped on a boat to Hollywood Studios!

We arrived right as the storm troopers parade was about to start.
X loved it!!!!

We joined the crowd and followed them all the way down the road to the stage.

Before heading to lunch we hit the Jedi movie and then Muppet Vision 3D.
Muppets are my favorite!!!!

We then had a lunch reservation at Mama Melrose's.

It.Was.Delicious!!!!!

This was a table service credit on our dining plan, and with this meal we were able to get reserved seating for Fantasmic later that evening.
Our server informed us when we arrived that our meal was upgraded and included an appetizer for each us as well as our meal and dessert.
Everything was seriously SO GOOD!

When it came time for dessert I was told I could get the cupcake on the kid menu, and I didn't think twice!
Again....SO SO GOOD!

We then killed some time watching the Jedi show while we waited for our fast pass time for the Star Wars ride.

We checked out a couple more rides before hitting up our fast pass for the Disney Junior Live show :)

And then it was time for Toy Story Mania!

I really wanted to ride the Rockin' Roller Coaster and we had time to kill before the show,
so I jumped in the single rider line and had about a 5-10 minute wait.

Of course the camera flashed and my eyes were closed! lol!
This was probably one of the better rides at Disney in my opinion, but doesn't come close to anything at Cedar Point :(
#keepinitreal

We had planned on going back to our resort and resting a bit before Fantasmic started at 9pm, but we decided to make the most of the day and stay for dinner.
We didn't have reservations at Sci-Fi Dine-In, but we took a chance and it paid off.
We waited 5 minutes tops at prime dinner time and got right in.
We didn't sit at one of the cars, but that didn't matter to us.

This would have been a table service credit on our dining plan, but we just paid out of pocket since we had our table service meals scheduled already.

The setting was neat, but the food was just so-so for us.

We finished just in time to walk right in to the last showing of Frozen Sing Along :)

It was finally time for the show!
It was good, but it was freezing!
Actually, it was super cold all day long! :(
We had 90 degree days leading up to this and then it dropped to 70 for the high and was super windy.
And it even started to rain a bit during this show :(

But at the end of the day, we enjoyed the show and then hopped on a boat back to our resort.

Day 6

We picked Saturday as our day off from the parks, but we still had plans for the day.
First up, breakfast reservations at 'Ohana with Lilo, Stitch and friends!

I waited forever for those Mickey waffles and they were just OK :(
And we only got one per skillet at our table.
The food was OK, but I would probably skip the breakfast and check out the dinner show there if we get to go again :)

This kid had so much fun collecting autographs from the characters, but he was super specific about which ones he wanted.
#somychild

After breakfast we walked around the Polynesian Resort for a bit and then headed to the Grand Floridian, and Contemporary Resort before heading back to our resort to relax and swim.

Unfortunately, the one day we dedicated to the pool was another 70 degree day but at least the winds had died down.
I elected to sit in the sun and stay warm while the guys swam and went on the water slide a million times.

I couldn't resist this picture of X watching the "big" kids playing pool.

We didn't have any plans for dinner, but we took a chance on Beaches & Cream.
We had about an hour and a half wait, so we just chilled at the pool until it was time to eat.
This is another table service credit on the dining plan, but we again just paid out of pocket.
Honestly, we weren't terribly impressed with the food but the ice cream was good.

I couldn't help taking a few pics of the desserts they were serving up!

That kitchen sink is seriously HUGE!

After X finished his mouse ice cream, we headed to the arcade once again.

Day 7

So Sunday was all kinds of crazy!
I actually woke up Saturday with a cold, just as Mic started feeling sick as well.
By Saturday night he was a mess!

We woke up on Sunday and I headed downstairs to grab us some breakfast at the market place.
We were able to get Mickey waffles and such again, and it was only a quick service credit on our dining plan.
Score!

When X and I were done eating we decided it would be best if Mic stayed back in the room to rest while we head to Epcot for the morning just the two of us.

Our only fast pass for the day was Frozen and we made it just in time.

We really liked the ride, but we liked the Frozen/Norway stores even more! lol!

X and I decided to walk through all the countries on our way back to our room for lunch.
We picked up a Kidcot Fun Stops passport a few days earlier, so we decided to collect stamps along the way :

He was so excited to see Pokemon!

Before we crossed the bridge back to the resorts, we grabbed a quick snack from one of the French food carts.
FYI: This is a snack credit :)

We picked up a couple snacks with credits in the market place too before heading back to check on Mic.

We all napped before getting ready for our dinner reservations at Le Cellier Steakhouse.
It was really good!
This is two table service credits on our dining plan.

See that tee that Mic has on in the pic below?
He had it on at dinner.
Doesn't sound abnormal, but we ate in the Canada section.
Our waiter was from Toronto.
The Cleveland Cavaliers just swept the Toronto Raptors as we were ordering our dinner!
It just felt weird through the whole meal.
Coincidence?

We made our way back to our resort and once again closed out the night at the arcade.

Day 8

I knew going into this trip I wanted our last day to be at Magic Kingdom :)
The weather was perfect and I was ready to make the most of it despite Mic and I still not feeling well.

We had fast passes for the Seven Dwarfs ride and I kind of lied fudged the truth that it wasn't fast or scary so X would ride it :)
#ineversaidiwasmotheroftheyear

Those faces on my little guy make me feel horrible, but when he got off the ride he said it was AWESOME!!!
I pray I can get him to ride coasters at Cedar Point with me in the near future :)
Also, this was probably my favorite ride throughout all the parks.

X started the day saying he needed to get Daisy's autograph for his book to be complete.
Tall order, but thankfully she was at Magic Kingdom that day!
No fast passes for her so we waited about 15-20 minutes but it was worth the wait.
He was so excited!

We saw Minnie in there again, but X said we could skip her since he met her earlier in the week.

While Mic and X hung out near Tomorrowland, I hightailed it over to Big Thunder Mountain for my fast pass.
I was alright, but Cedar Point has spoiled me!

I grabbed a pic of some riders on Splash Mountain as I made my way back to my guys.

X and I then hit up the tea cups together,

followed by the Dumbo ride!

Have you gone on this before?
It quoted it 35 minutes for our wait, but that included the time X got to play in this indoor room!
And I got to hang in the AC!
It was awesome!

X really wanted to go on the Haunted Mansion ride one more time before we left for the day.
We had fast passes available, so we quickly added them on our phones and basically walked right on the ride :)

I had high hopes that we would stay all day at Magic Kingdom and end the day with the fireworks show, but we were just toast.
Being sick while your at Disney sure isn't fun, but we did the best we could.

We nibbled on some last minute snack credit pick ups while we waited for our bus to bring us back to our resort.

We had no reservations scheduled, so we decided to walk over to the Dolphin resort and grab some dinner at The Fountain.
We of course finished our time at Disney in X's favorite spot...the arcade :)

Day 9

Our suitcases were loaded on the Magical Express and we headed back to the Orlando airport to fly home.

And there you have it!
Our Disney World trip condensed down as much as possible :)

Are you planning a trip to Disney World soon?
I would love to answer any questions you have about the resort we stayed at, the restaurants we ate at, or the rides we used our fast passes on :)
Or anything else you would like to ask!
