A Rawr-ific Time!

Monday, December 7, 2015

Hello Monday!
So glad to be back to a normal schedule this week!
While I love extra time off, and visiting with family and friends, it is always nice to get back to the norm for me.
I am girl who craves and needs routine to survive.

Since my Friday post was all about X, I decided to back up a few extra days and mention a few other favorites from last week.

Like we officially sold our house!!!!
We signed the papers and handed over the keys on Wednesday.
While I am happy to be moving forward and making our new house our home, it was sad to leave the house we have lived in for the last 9 years.
Especially since it was X's first home.

So excited and happy that I signed up for Stitch Fix!
I reviewed my first box last week, and I already received my second box in the mail over the weekend!
I can't wait to review it for you all!

On Thursday I stayed home to greet the DirecTV repair guy.
That gave me a chance to sort through all of X's toys and box them up to give to Toy Time.
The back of my car was packed!
It felt so good giving those toys away for other kids to enjoy at Christmas :)
I also dropped off some winter coats for donation and picked up Starbucks as a treat on my way to pick up X from school.
Another late night working for Mic, meant X and I hanging out playing cars.
And of course taking silly pictures :)

Friday I hit up Krogers right after work to get all the last minute things I needed for X's birthday party on Saturday.
I showed up at school and X was having fun riding the bikes in the gym, so I headed down the hallway to grab his coat and such.
I just love checking out the pictures they make during class!
All the teachers have them hanging throughout the hallway.

Sheldon, our elf, arrived last week and quickly went back to the North Pole to report X wasn't listening very well to his mommy and daddy :(
X tried really hard to be good the next day and Sheldon came back with a certificate saying he was back on the Nice list ;)

Friday night was this guy's last night as a 3 year old!
We had to document it before heading to bed.

Saturday was party day!
I kept things small with just family since I know I don't have many more (if any) years of doing that.
Everyone took home these dinosaur cookies I had made at a local bakery.

I completely ran out of time for things, so we just picked up cupcakes from Kroger (my favorite), put them on my cupcake tree, and called it a day!
And yes, that photo only shows three candles.
I added the fourth after I took this. lol!
My plan for sending everyone home with "dinosaur bones" failed, so I just threw the white chocolate covered pretzels in a bowl and no one knew the difference.
Everyone loved it too!
We had fruit with nutella dip, veggies, chips and dip, cupcakes, cookies, and then smoked sausage with brown sugar sauce and ham and cheese sliders.
It was perfect!

I stole these next photos from my mom since I didn't have a chance to take many (they are so weird looking!)

X was telling me he didn't want everyone to sing to him.
And this is the reaction when everyone was singing. lol!

X told me over a month ago he wanted this Star Wars ship he saw at Target.
I thought he would forget about it, but he mentioned it every single day for a month!
He was so excited when he opened his Star Wars bag and that ship and some of the characters were inside :)
Everyone seemed to have a great time.
Me, my 80+ year old grandma, and my "little" brother.

X kept saying that it was an awesome day!
And that is all this mommy needed to hear :)

He loved getting to play with everyone, and of course he loved all his new toys!
In fact, one of them continued to follow us to every room of the house (even the bedroom) all day yesterday and this morning!

Again, it was a great weekend!
And again, I am glad to be back to my normal routine now. lol!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Don't forget to stop back tomorrow to see how I decorated for Christmas!
